Method for operating a building closure

A method for operating a building closure having the shape of an overhead sectional door or of a garage door including at least one spring-loaded counterweight device and an electrical drive device is disclosed. A control unit simultaneously monitors the position of the building closure and a motor current for the drive device. When the building closure is in an open or a closed position, the motor current is reduced and maintained at a level to residually energize the drive device to reliably maintain the building closure in a desired position.

Vehicle door locking systems and control logic for passenger door assemblies

Disclosed are foreign object detection systems with control logic for governing use of vehicle door assemblies, and motor vehicles equipped with such FOD systems and logic. Methods are disclosed for regulating operation of a vehicle door locking mechanism. One method includes a vehicle controller determining the operating status of a control protocol that governs use of the locking mechanism. If the operating status is active, the controller receives sensor signals indicative of a location and/or velocity of an object within the sensor's supervision field. If the object is located within a protected door zone and/or the object's velocity is towards the protected zone, the controller determines whether the locking mechanism is locked or unlocked. If the locking mechanism is locked, the controller commands the locking mechanism to maintain the locked state. Conversely, if the locking mechanism is unlocked, the controller commands the locking mechanism to lock and maintain this state.

Garage door panel

An apparatus for a garage door panel which includes a formed metal section with at least one decorative portion on the front surface and having a rear surface. The formed metal section including a top portion with a male tongue and a bottom portion with a female groove. The garage door panel includes an insert combination of a polystyrene section and twin wall polypropylene section. The rear surface of the formed metal section is spray coated with a combination isocyanate and polyol resin which combines to form as hardened polyurethane foam section. The front surface of the polystyrene section is retained against the polyurethane foam section and the rear surface of the twin wall polypropylene serves as the rear surface of the garage door panel. Two metal stiles are respectively affixed at the left or first end and the right or second end.

Vehicle doors including door trim assemblies and vehicles including same

A vehicle includes a vehicle body and a vehicle door connected to the vehicle body. The vehicle door includes an interior trim panel including an upper board and an ornament member that is connected to an interior surface of the upper board. The ornament member has a front edge, a rear edge and side edges that extend from the front edge to the rear edge. The ornament member includes an interference member that extends outwardly from at least one of the front edge, the rear edge and the side edges and extends under the upper board to interface with the upper board during a side impact event.

Method for controlling barrier door
10352087 · 2019-07-16 · ·

A method for controlling barrier door is disclosed. The method includes following steps of: monitoring a barrier door (20) for generating multiple monitor images continually via a monitoring camera (104); recognizing a barrier door feature pattern (30-34) arranged on the barrier door (20) from the monitor images and determining a shade status of the barrier door feature pattern (30-34); recognizing a movement feature pattern arranged on a movable object from the monitor images and determining a movement direction of the movement feature pattern continuously; controlling the barrier door (20) to open when the shade status is consistent with a default shade status, the movement direction is consistent with a default movement direction, and the barrier door (20) is closed. Therefore, the barrier door can automatically and timely open without arranging the RFID reader, so as to provide the user the batter convenience.

Mine door

A reinforced lightweight mine door for installation in a mine passageway. The mine door includes a generally rectangular sheet metal door panel having four sides and four corners, and a reinforcing structure projecting from a face of the door panel. The reinforcing structure has a central section and a plurality of channel sections extending from the central section toward respective sides or corners of the door panel. A mine door including at least one hinge arrangement having unique reversibility features is also disclosed.

Trim kit

A modular trim kit including a number of modular trim pieces and a number of connectors which can be utilized to secure a first trim module to a second trim module to allow the modules to be assembled in a shape matching a cutout in a wall pad. In certain exemplifications of the present disclosure, a single trim module may be utilized to trim the cutout. In configurations in which the cutout is formed with angled corners to define a polygonal cutout, the kit may include corner trim modules sized and shaped to accommodate trimming at the vertices of the polygonal cutout.
