Connectors for smart windows

This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.

A universal add-on device for controlling a movable barrier opener to open and close a movable barrier includes a control module which wirelessly communicates with a user's mobile electronic device. The opener includes a hand-held remote transmitter having a push-button switch. The hand-held remote transmitter is configured to transmit wireless signals to the opener for initiating the opener to move the movable barrier upon actuation of a push button of the push-button switch. The control module is either connected to an actuator to physically actuate the push-button switch of the hand-held remote transmitter or electrically connected in parallel with the push-button switch to electrically actuate the push-button switch of the hand-held remote transmitter. The device enables a manufacturer's compatible remote transmitter or a universal remote transmitter to be utilized to control the movable barrier using the user's mobile electronic device such as a smart phone.

The body includes an integrally formed first segment and second segment that are operable to create a cavity when the body is placed on the ground. Contiguously formed with the body are wing members wherein the wing members extend outward from the body and are configured to have a fastener journaled therethrough. The cavity of the body is configured to have the heating element of the present invention disposed therein wherein the heating element is substantially the length of the body. The body is manufactured from metal so as to conduct heat from the heating element.

The mezzanine assembly generally includes a support assembly which has a first and second upright support members. The mezzanine gate assembly comprises an interior gate assembly and an exterior gate assembly. Generally, each of the interior and exterior gate assemblies are designed to move and pivot through a path of motion which provides a plurality of points of travel. The interior gate assembly is operably designed to engage with and deviate rearward while the load is delivered to the platform via forklift in order to provide a barrier between the respective railing and side of the load. The exterior gate assembly is operably designed to provide a barrier while the load of goods is manually removed from the pallet.

A cooling device includes a body, a drawer door attached to the body by rails in a slidable manner, and a door opening assistant for facilitating opening of the drawer door. As an improvement, at least two door closing assistants, that are configured to close the drawer door when the drawer door reaches a predetermined position, are provided on the body and/or the drawer door in such a way that the door opening assistant remains at a location between the at least two door closing assistants.
