A lock installation training aid. The training aid includes a door having a front surface, a rear surface and an edge having a top a bottom, a first side and a second side. A first cutout is formed at the edge. A first bracket is secured to the door adjacent to the first cutout. A first door insert is disposed within the first cutout and is secured to the first bracket by fasteners.

A door assembly system including a door assembly frame and a plurality of doors, each door being movably coupled to the door assembly frame. The system further includes an electrically activatable component coupled to the door assembly frame and operatively coupled to at least one door to selectively lock or unlock the at least one door. The door assembly frame is configured to be removably attached to a storage device frame having a plurality of compartments such that each door covers one of the compartments. The electrically activatable component is configured to be operatively connected to a controller coupled to the storage device frame.

A system for reducing the effect of a force includes a panel having a first side and a second side; a plurality of contact members disposed around a perimeter of the panel first side; and a biasing member positioned around a perimeter of the panel second side. In a use configuration, a force received by the panel second side is at least partially transferred to the contact members causing at least one of the contact members to temporarily lose contact with the panel first side, whereby the return of the contact member into contact with the panel first side imparts a second force onto the panel first side, the second force being less than the force transferred to the contact members.

Slide closure for a container containing molten metal includes a housing part that can be fastened to the container and a slider unit that can be displaced longitudinally relative to it, into which a fireproof plate can respectively be inserted. The slider unit is held by holding units fastened to the housing part perpendicular to the slider unit such that it can be displaced longitudinally. The holding units are individually fastened releaseably to the housing part such that in the braced state of the slide closure, they can be released from the housing part in almost every position of the slider unit. In addition, the housing part has walls running close to the plate in the longitudinal direction and projections that protrude to the side, in which walls bearings of the individual holding units can be accommodated.
