Hatch lift assist device
A hatch actuating device can include a housing; a sliding portion received within the housing; a gear assembly at least partially received within the housing and movably coupled to the sliding portion; and a flexible drive element coupled to the gear assembly; wherein the gear assembly is configured to open a hatch lid of a hatch through rotation of a portion of the gear assembly by pulling of the drive element.

Swimming pool ladder with automatic lift mechanism
The present disclosure provides a ladder which selectively allows or prevents user access to the ladder steps, such that the ladder can only be climbed when such access is allowed. For example, the ladder may only selectively allow ingress into a bathing enclosure, e.g. when operated by an adult, but may allow egress from the bathing enclosure by any user. The ladder includes an elevator that is movable between a safety configuration, in which ingress is prevented or inhibited but egress is permitted, and a ladder configuration, in which both ingress and egress are permitted.
Light emitting device controlled by placement angle thereof
A light emitting device controlled by placement angle thereof includes a housing space disposed inside a shell element, wherein a light emitting element, a power supply element, and a conductive element are disposed in the housing space. The conductive element has a passage having a conductor therein. By a tilt of the shell element, a placement angle thereof is changed, whereby the conductor moves inside the passage between a conducting position and a disconnecting position. The wire set between the light emitting element and the power supply element is conductive when the conductor is at the conducting position, and is not conductive when the conductor is at the disconnecting position. Thus, the light emitting element is able to be controlled by changing the placement angle of an object to which the light emitting device attached, thereby achieving the convenience for usage.
Retractable Ladder Assembly for a Mechanical Closure Device
A retractable ladder assembly comprising a lower frame fixed below an enclosure for a mechanical closure device and a moveable upper frame. The upper frame is disposed below the enclosure or removed entirely from the enclosure when not in use to prevent access from unauthorized personnel. The lower end of the upper frame engages the upper end of the lower frame and a link member on the upper frame engages an anchor within the enclosure to establish an extended ladder mode.
Ladders, rung assemblies for ladders and related methods
Ladders and ladder components are provided including a rung assembly that provides an alert to a user of the ladder that they are standing on a particular rung or step. In one example, the lower most rung or step of a ladder includes a rung assembly having an alert mechanism. The alert mechanism may provide an audible and/or other sensory alert to a user when they step on the rung assembly so that the user recognizes their position relative to the ground or supporting surface. In one embodiment, the rung assembly is configured such that a front edge remains in a constant or fixed position relative to the rails to which it is coupled so that a user can rely on a fixed or constant position of the front edge of the assembly when climbing or descending the ladder.
Ladder Safety System
A safety apparatus and system for use with a ladder. The safety apparatus comprises a lower step indicating component, a load indicating component, and an upper step indicating component. The apparatus further comprises a data storage component for storing and transmitting data generated by the lower step indicating component, the load indicating component, and the upper step indicating component.
Ladder with system opening facilitator
The present disclosure is directed to a ladder system. A ladder system may comprise a first section comprising: a first rail, a second rail, and a first support connected to the first rail and the second rail; a second section comprising a first leg; a first connector for connecting, either directly or indirectly via one or more second connectors, the first section to the second section; and a ladder system-opening facilitator connected to the first section and the second section, wherein the first section is substantially parallel to the second section when the ladder system is in a closed position, wherein the ladder system-opening facilitator automatically completes an opening action for the ladder system in response to initiation of the opening action, and wherein the first section is angular to the second section when the ladder system is in an open position.

Illuminated Safety Rail and Ladder
The invention discloses an illuminated safety rail apparatus contained within a watertight, translucent or transparent tubular-shaped housing. The housing may be manufactured from a plastic or polymer material. The shape of the safety rail may vary and be customized to accommodate various sizes and configurations of railings and ladders, such as a commonly used return-to-deck style handrails for pools and spas; safety rails for indoor and outdoor stairwells and walls of any structure; docks and dock ramps; and for travel trailers and motor homes. The housing also contains watertight maintenance access points. The apparatus contains LED or other energy efficient lights that illuminate the safety rail and the surrounding area and has the additional benefit of creating a pleasant aesthetic effect.
