Trade based component case and ladder bucket
A ladder system includes a ladder having a ladder top, the ladder top having at least a first slot. A container having at least a first protrusion that engages with the first slot to hold the container to the top. A method for working from a ladder. The method includes the steps of filling a container with objects and engaging a first protrusion of the container with a first slot of a top of the ladder to hold a container to the top.
Lighted Ladder
Embodiments of the Lighted Ladder are comprised of a ladder; a plastic housing; one or more LED strip lighting; a cordless battery mounting means; a battery; a controller housing; a control interface; power wiring; potentiometer wiring; and motion sensor wiring. The ladder is weight-balanced by placement of the battery mounting means, the battery, and controller housing in a low position on the ladder. The battery mounting means is designed to accept a cordless tool battery. The battery mounting means is designed to accept a commercially available battery of at least 12V and at least 3.0 Ah. One plastic housing is located on each of the vertical front rails. Each LED strip lighting can illuminate an angular range of 120 degrees (120°) creating a total illumination range of 300 degrees (300°).

Ladder with safety device
The ladder safety device is for blocking access to the lower rungs of a portable extension ladder. During use, the ladder may have to remain positioned against a structure in that it is part of the temporary scaffolding or for other reasons. In one embodiment, a container having a width slightly less than the width between the side rails is positioned on a higher rung by a pair of hooks. A slot in the container has one end of a flexible panel extending therefrom with hooks thereon. The panel is unwound upon a controllable shaft when pulled from the container and the lower hooks are attached to a lower rung. A locking device must be activated to allow for the removal of the lower hooks and then the retraction of the panel into the container. The device may be incorporated into the rung.
LADDER, COMPONENTS THEREOF, AND ACCESSORIES FOR USE THEREWITH
A gate assembly may include a gate which includes a first end and a second end, one or more hinges coupled to the first end of the gate, wherein at least one of the one or more hinges includes an offset spring assisted hinge including a hinge rivet, a spring, a plunger, a hinge bolt, and a support tube, a stop coupled to the second end of the gate and configured to contact a stop mounting bracket, and a mounting bracket attached to the one or more hinges, wherein the gate is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket via the one or more hinges.
ELECTRICAL WARNING SYSTEM FOR A CLIMBABLE STRUCTURE
A warning circuit for use on ladders includes a first sensor responsive to the placement of a first of a user's feet thereon and a second sensor responsive to the placement of a second of the user's feet thereon. The second sensor is electrically connected in series to the first sensor, and a relay is electrically connected in series to one of the first and second sensors. A power source has a power output terminal electrically connected in series to the other of the sensors connected in series. A sound device is electrically connected to a load output of the relay and to the power source. The load output of the relay is energized only when the first sensor is activated prior to activation of the second sensor whereupon the load output then energizes the sound device.
Apparatus Having a Handle on Which a User Stands, and Method
An apparatus includes a platform having a first end and a second end and a handle. The apparatus includes a first leg assembly rotatably attached to the platform in proximity to the first end. The apparatus includes a second leg assembly attentively attached to the platform in proximity to the second end. When the first and second leg assemblies are essentially perpendicular to the platform, the apparatus is in a use state and the user is able to stand on the platform and be supported by the first and second leg assemblies. When the apparatus is in the use state, the user is able to pick up the apparatus by the handle with only one of the hands without tipping the apparatus. A method for a user with hands to stand on an apparatus.
Wheeled ladder caddy
A wheeled ladder caddy is provided. The caddy can transport one or more long and slender items thereon. The caddy has a base and a mount coupled to the base and extending away therefrom. The mount defines a cavity therein. The caddy may also include a securing mechanism coupled to the base, the securing mechanism including an engagement member and a fastener, wherein the fastener can transition between a first position and a second position to position the engagement member with respect to the base. The item may be placed in the caddy such that the cavity receives a part of the item and the securing mechanism receives a second part. The fastener can transition from the first position to the second position to translate the engagement member toward the base to retain the item between the engagement member and the base.

Safety hatch system
In one embodiment, an electronically controlled hatch system for safe ingress, egress, hazard detection, and methods thereof are provided to reduce or eliminate hazards to personnel, including protection of people above and below a scuttle hatch, access port, skylight or elevated deck. Said hatch system reduces the risk of falls while ascending or descending a ladder through an access port. In certain embodiments, severe weather, hazard, security, and other safety information are detected and transmitted to a central control unit for processing and regulating the opening and closing of a hatch covering the access port and/or raising and lowering a safety railing system based on said information and/or user input. Said hatch system may include an actuator and guides for automatically locking/unlocking and opening/closing a hatch, an actuator and guides for automatically raising/lowering a railing system, safety monitoring detectors/apparatuses, and a centralized controller.
