The unstructured data includes data about the raw oilfield data, and one or more of the elements, one or more of the relationships, or both.
Ground drilling device and method for drilling in soil
A ground drilling device for drilling in soil by means of a drill string, wherein the ground drilling device comprises a drilling carriage and a sled movable in translation on the drilling carriage, and on the sled there is arranged a holder a) for the screwed connection of a rod section to the drill string, or b) for the screwed detachment of a rod section from the drill string, wherein the holder can move in translation relative to the sled in order to compensate for a change in the position of the holder caused by the screwing process.
Well drilling bit and well drilling method using the same
A well drilling bit for drilling bedrocks includes a columnar bit body, and a drilling fluid flow path formed in the bit body to wash away drilled cuttings from a bottomhole and/or a periphery of the bit body. The flow path is provided with a venturi mechanism including a venturi tube having a reduced-diameter portion where a cross sectional area is reduced and capable of generating a decompression region around a tip of the bit body, the decompression region being more decompressed than a surrounding by the Venturi effect.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DRILLING A WELL
Provided is a method for selecting one of a plurality of convergence paths that may be drilled by a bottom hole assembly (BHA) comprising identifying, by a computer system, a plurality of geometric convergence paths, wherein each of the geometric convergence paths provides a convergence solution from a defined bottom hole assembly (BHA) location to a target drilling path of a well plan. An offset distance is calculated for drilling by the BHA each of the geometric convergence paths connecting the BHA location to the target drilling path. A drill path curvature associated with drilling each of the geometric convergence paths by the BHA is determined by the computer system. A time required for drilling each of the geometric convergence paths by the BHA is determined by the computer system. An optimal geometric convergence path of the plurality of geometric convergence paths is determined responsive to the offset distance for drilling each of the geometric convergence paths, the drill path curvature associated with each of the geometric convergence paths and the time required for drilling each of the geometric convergence paths. The determined optimal geometric convergence path is fed to a controller associated with a display of a drilling rig and used to control the display of the drilling rig to display the determined optimal geometric convergence path.

LASER AND MECHANICAL BORING
A boring method is provided and can include directing a laser beam at an exposed face of a bulk target in a longitudinal direction. The laser beam can be configured to liquefy and/or gasify the target within the laser beam. The method can also include removing, by the laser beam, a channel of predetermined length and width within the target. The method can further include moving the laser beam in a closed loop of predetermined diameter to define a cut portion of the target laterally bounded by the closed loop. A ligament of the cut portion can remain attached to the target. The method can additionally include separating the ligament from the target. The method can also include removing the cut portion from the target after separating the ligament to form a bore.
PREDICTING AND REDUCING VIBRATIONS DURING DOWNHOLE DRILLING OPERATIONS
Vibrations occurring during downhole drilling operations can be predicted and reduced according to some examples. One particular example includes a system that can receive drilling parameter values associated with a drilling operation involving drilling a wellbore through a subterranean formation using a drill string. The system can receive a depth value associated with the drilling parameter values. The system can provide the drilling parameter values as input to a drill string model to receive a critical speed prediction as output from the drill string model. The system can then generate a speed-depth mapping based on the critical speed prediction and the depth value. The speed-depth mapping can be used to avoid the critical speed at the depth in the wellbore, which may prevent a failure of the drill string resulting from associated vibrations.
