Shrouded screw device for removing and depositing material

A shrouded screw apparatus includes an outer tube, a telescoping inner tube, an auger bit, and an anti-rotation pin. The outer tube has a first sidewall defining a first interior chamber. The first sidewall has an opening defined therethrough. The inner tube is positioned in the first interior chamber. The inner tube has a second sidewall defining a second interior chamber. The second sidewall has a longitudinal groove defined therein. The inner tube is configured to extend from and retract within the first interior chamber of the outer tube. The auger bit is positioned in the second interior chamber and is rotatably coupled to the inner tube. The anti-rotation pin is coupled to the first sidewall of the outer tube and extends inwardly into the first interior chamber. The pin engages the longitudinal groove of the inner tube.

Automatic handheld shovel with auger

An electrical handheld shovel system includes a handheld shovel with an auger bit. The shovel includes a motor configured to rotate the auger bit and a portable power source configured to power the motor. The shovel includes an input/output (I/O) device and a controller to control rotation of the auger bit. The shovel has a handle and a shovel portion. In one example, the power source is integrated into the handle, and in another example, the power source is detachably coupled to the handle. The shovel has a gearbox coupled to the motor. The shovel portion includes a blade positioned proximal to the auger bit to retain debris from the auger bit. The auger bit has a flute that is partially covered by the blade, and the blade defines a discharge opening configured to discharge at least some of the debris.

WEEP-HOLE DRILLING

A method for creating a weep hole is disclosed. The weep hole is drilled in an uncured, concrete, hollow core structural component having one or more external surfaces and one or more internal surfaces. The weep hole is drilled using a drilling apparatus comprising a drill, a rotating drill bit with an internal fluid passageway, a power source, and a pressurized fluid source. Loose, uncured concrete material deposited near the weep hole on the one or more internal surface as a result of drilling the weep hole is removed by releasing pressurized fluid which flows from the pressurized fluid source, through the drill and the rotating drill bit.

HANDHELD WATER DRILL AND METHOD
20240200409 · 2024-06-20 ·

A water drilling system includes a handheld wand having a handle portion and a distal tip. A hose connects the handheld wand to a pressurized water source. The handheld wand is controllable to selectively discharge pressurized water from a nozzle at the distal tip. A non-metallic hollow shaft of the handheld wand is configured to be thrust into ground soil. The hollow shaft extends between the handle portion and the distal tip, and the hollow shaft has an outside diameter less than an outside diameter of the distal tip.

HANDHELD DIGGING TOOL
20240218742 · 2024-07-04 ·

A handheld digging tool includes a main body and a first drill rod mechanism with a first function. The main body is configured to be adapted for at least a second drill rod mechanism with a second function. The main body includes: a support mechanism; a drive mechanism supported by the support mechanism, including a direct current motor, and configured to be selectively connected to one of the first drill rod mechanism and the second drill rod mechanism to drive the first drill rod mechanism or the second drill rod mechanism to work; and a battery pack for supplying power to the direct current motor, where the nominal voltage of the battery pack is less than or equal to 80 V, and the maximum output torque of the handheld digging tool is greater than or equal to 80 N.Math.m.

Hand Powered Impact Boring Tool
20190040690 · 2019-02-07 ·

A hand powered impact boring tool is used to bore small diameter holes underneath obstructions so utility cables can be buried underground and beneath those obstructions. Making use of a manual powered slide hammer striking against a forward anvil creates the impact force that drives the shaft and tip through the ground. Sliding the hammer backwards against the reverse anvil will back the tool out of the ground leaving a hole for cable to be passed through.

Hole Boring Device
20190024458 · 2019-01-24 ·

A hole boring device includes a housing including a proximal end, an open distal end, and a bore extending longitudinally from the distal end to the proximal end. An inlet connectable to a pressurized water source is disposed on the proximal end of the housing. A spraying device in fluid communication with the inlet is disposed in the bore and is oriented towards the open distal end of the housing. The spraying device is configured discharge a stream of water passing therethrough so as to form a boring stream configured to bore a hole in a ground surface. In some embodiments, the spraying device is configured to rotatably discharge the pressurized stream of water. A depth collar disposed annularly about the housing defines the depth of the bored hole. A slot disposed along the housing allows debris from the boring process to exit the housing, leaving an empty bored hole.

Method and device for making a hole in a golf green

A golf green hole-making device has longitudinal, radial, and angular directions, and includes a cutting cylinder, a structure, a weight, a weight propulsion device, a soil expulsion piston, a piston driving mechanism, and an expulsion activating mechanism. The cutting cylinder has an open end that is freely movable longitudinally. The structure includes a guide with which the weight engages to move along a weight path between first and second endpoints, when propelled by the weight propulsion device, causing the weight to strike the cutting cylinder and urge the cutting cylinder in the longitudinal direction. The soil expulsion piston moves inside the cutting cylinder along its axis. The piston driving mechanism transfers force from the weight propulsion device to the soil expulsion piston to drive the soil expulsion piston towards the open end. The expulsion activating mechanism engages and disengages the piston driving mechanism in relation to the weight propulsion device.
