Umbrellas, Parasols, Shading Systems, Voice-Activated Hubs and Lighting Systems Utilizing Controller Area Network (CAN) Protocol
A shading device includes a base assembly, a support assembly, and an expansion assembly, where the expansion assembly to expand one or more arms to an open position or to retract the one or more arms to a closed position. The shading device includes a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transceiver to receive commands or messages from a mobile computing device to activate one or more assemblies of the shading device; one or more Controller Area Network (CAN) transceivers; and a CAN bus to couple the one or more CAN transceivers to the one or more assemblies. The shading device also includes one or more memory devices; one or more processors; computer-readable instructions executable by the one or more processors to: communicate the commands or messages received from the BLE transceiver to the one or more CAN transceivers, the CAN bus and the one or more assemblies.
STAND FOR PORTABLE ACCESSORY
A free-standing accessory stand that includes a ground support portion and an enclosure is provided. The enclosure is disposed about a central axis of the accessory stand. The upper surface faces away from the ground support. The accessory stand includes a retractable accessory support that has an outer surface projecting away from the enclosure in a first configuration. A mounting space is provided along the outer surface of the retractable accessory support above the upper surface of the enclosure. The outer surface is retracted in a second configuration.
Umbrella opening and closing system
An umbrella apparatus having a canopy portion hingedly coupled to a pole portion. The umbrellas apparatus includes a rechargeable electrical power system that provides electrical power to an electromechanical opening and closing system and a light assembly and an entertainment system. A solar energy system is conductively coupled to the rechargeable electrical power system and is utilized to collect and convert solar energy to electrical energy for recharging the electrical power system. The entertainment system features a USB port and allows users to stream music and control the color of the light assembly.

Rollable curtain patio umbrella
A rollable curtain patio umbrella for creating a shaded, netted, and private area includes an umbrella assembly comprising a pole, a support structure and a canopy. The canopy is coupled to the support structure, which is coupled to the pole. The canopy has an outside surface, an inside surface, a front perimeter, a rear perimeter, a right perimeter, and a left perimeter. A plurality of rollable shade curtains is coupled to the umbrella assembly, each shade curtain having a top edge coupled to the outside surface proximal the front perimeter, the rear perimeter, the right perimeter, and the left perimeter, respectively. Each of the shade curtains has a stored position and an alternate deployed position. Each shade curtain in the stored position is rolled adjacent the outside surface of the canopy, while in the alternate deployed position each shade curtain extends from the canopy to the ground.
AIR FILTER UMBRELLA
An air filter umbrella includes an umbrella body, an air delivery unit formed in the shaft of the umbrella body, and an air filter assembly fastened to the bottom end of the shaft of the umbrella body and adapted for drawing outside air into the air delivery unit and filtering the intake flow of air for enabling the filtered air to be breathed by the umbrella user.
Umbrella system
An umbrella system includes a support pole connected to a rotating tube positioned around a center tube that extends between the support pole and a center support that is connected to an umbrella frame. The rotating tube has one or more helical grooves therein that are engaged by teeth of a hub which is connected to the umbrella frame. As the rotating tube is rotated, the hub is driven along the length of the rotating tube thereby opening and closing the umbrella frame. In one arrangement system includes a motor housing assembly including a plurality of batteries and a motor that includes a driven gear that meshes with a stationary gear which causes rotation of the rotating tube. The system also includes a counterbalance assembly positioned within the rotating tube. The counterbalance assembly includes at least one spring positioned within the rotating tube that provides a counterbalance force.
Flow-guiding device and umbrella having the same
The present invention provides a flow-guiding device, comprising: a flow-guiding passage, a plurality of a first control valves, a flow-guiding bag and a flow-guiding tube. One end of the flow-guiding passage is connected to a flow-guiding opening and the other end of the flow-guiding passage is connected to a plurality of first control valves. The plurality of first control valves are further connected to the flow-guiding bag, which is connected to one end of the flow-guiding tube. By opening the plurality of first control valves, the fluid coming down from the flow-guiding opening is directed to flow into the flow-guiding bag, and by closing the plurality of first control valves. The other end of the flow-guiding tube is connected to a second control valve; by opening the second control valve, the fluid inside the flow-guiding bag is discharged. The present invention also provides an umbrella having a flow-guiding device.
Umbrella with electronic weather display
The invention is directed to an umbrella with electronic weather display. The umbrella provides a digital display in the shaft of the umbrella to provide vital information such as weather forecasts and traffic alerts. The umbrella further provides one or more Universal Service Bus (USB) ports for the recharging of other electronic devices, and is powered by a combination of solar panels and a removable, rechargeable battery pack. Alternate embodiments include a hand-held umbrella, a canopy umbrella intended for use at the center of a patio table, and a beach umbrella.
