FLUID ENERGIZING DEVICE

Apparatus and methods for energizing well operations fluids, including a fluid energizing device directly or operatively connected between first and second conduits. The fluid energizing device includes a chamber. A first fluid enters the chamber from the first conduit, and a second fluid enters the chamber from the second conduit and energizes the first fluid within the chamber. A third conduit conducts the energized first fluid from the chamber to a wellhead.

Using Biodegradable Oils for Controlling Dust from Additive Particles

Application of biodegradable oils to additive particles to control dusting. A method of reducing an amount of dust produced during transfer of additive particles comprising: treating at least some of the additive particles with one or more biodegradable oils; storing the additive particles; and transferring the additive particles prior to and after storage, wherein biodegradable oil reduces the amount of dust produced during at least one of the transfers of the additive particles.

SELECTING POTENTIAL WELL LOCATION IN A RESERVOIR GRID MODEL
20180003007 · 2018-01-04 · ·

Systems and methods for selecting potential well locations in a reservoir grid model using a bounding box with grid-block dimensions to calculate a total original gas-in-place (OGIP) and/or original oil-in-place (OOIP) for each bounding box associated with a potential well location.

CREATING AND EXECUTING A WELL CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION PLAN
20180012310 · 2018-01-11 ·

A plan structure and a method for creating a plan for forming/operating a sub-sea or sub-terranean well, in an automated planner, are disclosed. The plan defines logical, sequential and conditional interrelationships between events in the plan, so that a controller can carry out the plan in a flexible and time-independent manner to complete the sequenced events. The definition of the logical, sequential and conditional interdependencies permits flexibility in how the controller uses the time and resources available to it so that the plan directs the controller in a non-prescriptive manner, allowing greater flexibility in plan execution and reducing the necessity for re-planning to occur when changes in the world or environment in which the controller executes the plan are detected.

Devices and methods for controlling the properties of chemical species during time-dependent processes. A device includes a reactor for containing one or more chemical species of a time-dependent process, an extraction pump for automatically and continuously extracting an amount of the one or more chemical species from the reactor, one or more detectors for measuring property changes of the one or more extracted chemical species and generating a continuous stream of data related to the one or more property changes to the one or more chemical species during a time interval, and a process controller configured to fit the continuous stream of data to a mathematical function to predict one or more properties of the one or more chemical species at a future time point and make one or more process decisions based on the prediction of one or more properties at the future time point.

CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF FLOWBACK OPERATIONS FOR SHALE RESERVOIRS

A flowback system and method employ a flowback model that characterizes fluid properties and rock mechanical properties of the reservoir during flowback in conjunction with measurement and analysis of chemistry and solids production with respect to the flowback fluid in order to maximize efficiency during the flowback operations, while mitigating formation damage and hydraulic fracture conductivity degradation. The methodology can define a safe drawdown operating zone for conducting flowback operations.
