Rotational drill bits and drilling apparatuses including the same
A roof-bolt drill bit includes a bit body that is rotatable about a central axis, a coupling pocket defined in the bit body, and at least one cutting element mounted to the bit body. The at least one cutting element includes a cutting face, a cutting edge adjacent the cutting face, a back surface opposite the cutting face, and a side surface extending between the cutting edge and the back surface. The roof-bolt drill bit additionally includes a coupling attachment coupled to the bit body, the coupling attachment being positioned adjacent to a portion of the side surface of the cutting element that abuts a side surface of the coupling pocket.
DRILLING AND BOLTING TOOL
A drilling and bolting tool includes a drill feed for driving a bit to form a hole in a rock surface, a cable feed system, and a resin system. The drill feed includes a frame and a drill head supported on the frame. The cable feed system is coupled to the drill feed, and the cable feed system includes a cable drive for driving a cable into the hole. The resin system includes a hose in fluid communication with a resin supply. The resin system further including a hose drive system for selectively extending the hose into the hole and retracting the hose from the hole.
Cutting apparatus and method of operating
A cutting apparatus suitable for creating tunnels and subterranean roadways includes independently pivoting supports that each carry a respective, independently pivoting arm and a rotatable cutting head. Each cutting head, via the supports and arms, is configured to slew laterally outward in a sideways direction and to pivot in a vertical upward and downward direction. The supports and arms are mounted on a linear moving sled carried by a main frame.
Yieldable Bearing Block
A mine roof bolting system including a bearing member having a first member, a second member spaced apart from the first member, and apertures defined through each of the first and second members, and a mine roof bolt extending through the apertures. When a load is applied to the mine roof bolting system, the bearing member yields or deforms. Also, a method for providing a roof support in an underground mine including providing the bearing member and inserting a mine roof bolt through the apertures of the bearing member and into a borehole in a mine roof, wherein the bearing member yields upon application of a load in excess of a predetermined load.

When a load is applied to the mine roof bolting system, the bearing member yields or deforms. Also, a method for providing a roof support in an underground mine including providing the bearing member and inserting a mine roof bolt through the apertures of the bearing member and into a borehole in a mine roof, wherein the bearing member yields upon application of a load in excess of a predetermined load.
SUPPORT FOR DRILLING AND BOLTING DEVICE
A boom for supporting a drilling and bolting tool includes a first portion including a first end and a second end, a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end; a second portion including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end supported for translational movement relative to the first portion in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis, the distal end configured to support the drilling and bolting tool; an actuator for moving the second portion relative to the first portion parallel to the longitudinal axis; and a fluid passage for conveying pressurized fluid between the first end of the first portion and the drilling and bolting tool adjacent the distal end of the second portion, the fluid passage positioned within the first portion and the second portion.
ANCHORING METHOD UTILIZING SELF-DRILLING AND SELF-ANCHORING EXTENDABLE ANCHOR ROD APPLICABLE TO SOFT AND WEAK COAL ROCKS

An injection system for a self-drilling rock bolt assembly (1), the system including: a receptacle (2) to be fixed in use to a drill head (4) of the self-drilling rock bolt assembly (1), the receptacle (2) having a nozzle receiving end (5) and an opening (6) at the other: a replaceable canister (7) to be located within said receptacle (2) in use, said canister (7) adapted to supply two or more substances for use in installing the rock bolt assembly (1) through said nozzle receiving end (5); and a plunger system (8) operatively associated with said receptacle (2) adjacent said opening (6) at said other end and positioned along a longitudinal axis (XX) of the drill head (4): the plunger system (8) including two or more plungers (9) that are activated in use to drive the substances within the canister (7) when located within the receptacle (2), delivering the substances by way of a nozzle (21) mounted to the nozzle receiving end (5) into the self-drilling rock bolt assembly (1).

A tunneling and anchoring machine (100) and a tunneling system, the tunneling and anchoring machine (100) comprising a rack (1), a cutting device (2), a drilling device (3) and a control device; the cutting device (2) has a lowest swing angle (B) and a highest swing angle (a); the drilling device (3) comprises a drilling machine (31) and a sensor, the sensor is electrically connected to the drilling machine (31), the drilling machine (31) is suitable for drilling a roadway floor and/or a roadway roof, and the sensor is suitable for, when the drilling machine (31) is drilling, monitoring a set parameter of the drilling machine (31) and generating a monitoring data signal; the sensor is electrically connected to the control device, and the control device is suitable for receiving and analyzing the monitoring data signal; when the drilling machine (31) drills a first thickness of the roadway floor, if the monitoring data signal is greater than a first threshold, the control device is suitable for adjusting the lowest swing angle (?); and when the drilling machine (31) drills a second thickness of the roadway roof, if the monitoring data signal is greater than a second threshold, the control device is suitable for adjusting the highest swing angle (?).
Bolter Miner and Tunneling System
A bolter miner includes a rack, a cutting device and a bolt support device. The cutting device is configured for a cutting operation and is arranged on the rack to swing up and down. The bolt support device includes a lifting assembly, a work platform, a first drilling frame assembly and a stabilization assembly. The lifting assembly is arranged between the rack and the work platform and is configured to lift the work platform. The first drilling frame assembly and the stabilization assembly are arranged on the work platform. The first drilling frame assembly has a bolt support position and an avoidance position. The work platform can extend and retract to switch the bolt support position and the avoidance position of the first drilling frame assembly. The stabilization assembly can be supported between the cutting device and a tunnel roof, so as to enhance the stability of the first drilling frame assembly during a bolt support operation.
