A method for straightening and dyeing keratinous fibers includes the following steps: A) treating the fibers with a straightening agent (G), B) treating the fibers with a conditioner (K), and C) treating the fibers with a coloring agent (F). The straightening composition (G) includes at least one alkalizing agent selected from sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, and/or guanidinium hydroxide, the conditioner (K) and/or the coloring agent (F) include(s) at least one reducing agent selected from thiolactic acid, thioglycolic acid, cysteine, sodium sulfide, sodium sulfite, sodium thiosulfate, sodium dithionite, and/or cosmetically acceptable salts thereof, and the coloring agent (F) includes at least one direct acid dye.

This results in a sombre colored hair extension with a mid-section of the hair bundle that contains transitorily colored hair with a blend of the first color in the top portion of the hair bundle with the second color in the tail portion of the hair bundle.

The hair product application device generally includes a glove having at least one blister pack containing a hair product composition. The blister pack includes a pocket that holds the hair product composition and is at least partially in contact with an exterior surface of the glove. The pocket has a rupturable membrane and optionally, a backing sheet that is located at least partially on the exterior surface of the glove. The hair product composition is released by rupturing the rupturable membrane of the blister pack by applying an external pressure to the exterior surface of the rupturable membrane or an internal pressure to the pocket using a pneumatic device.
