A component for a mixer of a vehicle exhaust system, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a doser mount comprising a curved body having a center boss with a doser opening defining a doser axis. The curved body includes at least a first mating surface configured to receive a first mixer shell defined by a first dimension and a second mating surface configured to receive a second mixer shell defined by a second dimension different than the first dimension.
Exhaust gas purification system for a gasoline engine
An exhaust gas purification system for a gasoline engine is described the system comprising in consecutive order the following devices: •a first three-way-catalyst (TWC1), a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) and a second three-way-catalyst (TWC2), •wherein the oxygen storage capacity (OSC) of the GPF is greater than the OSC of the TWC1, wherein the OSC is determined in mg/l of the volume of the device.
Exhaust Conduits For Marine Engine Exhaust Systems
An exhaust conduit for a marine exhaust system includes an inlet end portion connectable to an exhaust manifold, an outlet end portion that directs exhaust gases toward an exhaust system outlet, a catalytic converter assembly arranged between the inlet and outlet end portions, and inner and outer tubes. The inner tube directs exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter assembly, and the outer tube surrounds the inner tube to define a cooling liquid passage between the inner and outer tubes. A flange is secured to the inner and outer tubes at inlet ends thereof, the flange being connectable to an outlet of the exhaust manifold. The inner tube has a uniform diameter between the flange and the catalytic converter assembly, and is welded to the flange independently of the outer tube. First and second welds join the inner and outer tubes to the flange at radially inner and outer faces, respectively, of a flange rim.
Systems and methods for equalizing backpressure in engine cylinders
An intake manifold is provided. A first inlet is structured to receive pressurized intake air from a turbocharger. A second inlet is structured to receive exhaust gas recirculation gas from an exhaust gas recirculation system. A third inlet is structured to receive fuel from a fuel line. A plurality of outlets are structured to be fluidly coupled to an engine. An intake manifold passage extends between each of the first, second, and third inlets, and the plurality of outlets. The intake manifold passage is shaped so as to cause at least two reversals in flow direction of each of the intake air, the exhaust gas recirculation gas, and the fuel through the intake manifold passage so as to improve mixing of each of the intake air, the exhaust gas recirculation gas, and the fuel.
MOVABLE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUXILIARY DIESEL ENGINES
A mobile emissions control system is provided for diesel engines operated on ocean-going ships at-berth. The emissions control system comprises two essential elements: an emissions capturing system and an emissions control system. The emissions control system may be mounted on a towable chassis or mounted on a barge, allowing it to be placed alongside ocean-going ships at-berth. The emission capturing system captures exhaust from a ship's diesel engine and conducts it into the emissions control system, which cleans the exhaust and then passes clean air into the atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.
Compact cylindrical selective catalytic reduction system for nitrogen oxide reduction in the oxygen-rich exhaust of 500 to 4500 kW internal combustion engines
A compact Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system comprising a system inlet, a gas flow system and a plurality of catalyst clusters is described. The system inlet is configured to utilize heat of the cleaned exhaust to vaporize a solution of a reductant, or a precursor of a reductant, and to mix the vaporized reductant with exhaust gas to form a mixed gas. The gas flow system is configured to provide the mixed gas from the system inlet to a plurality of catalyst clusters and to provide heat from the exhaust gas to assist in vaporization of the reductant/precursor and to assist in the conversion of the precursor to the reductant. The plurality of catalyst clusters comprise SCR and ASC catalysts but can also include filter functionality.
Exhaust gas purification system for diesel engines of utility motor vehicles
An exhaust gas purification system for diesel engines of utility motor vehicles, includes an oxidation catalytic converter disposed in an exhaust tract, a reducing agent dosing device having a reducing agent injection device, a reducing agent decomposition device, a soot particle separator, a reduction catalytic converter and a muffler for the exhaust gases. The oxidation catalytic converter is disposed within a minimum distance directly downstream of outlet valves of the engine and a maximum distance of 0.75 m from an exhaust collecting pipe or an outlet of a turbocharger. The reducing agent decomposition device, the soot particle separator and the reduction catalytic converter are disposed separately from the oxidation catalytic converter.
After-Treatment System
An after-treatment system includes, in series along an exhaust gas flow direction through the after-treatment system: a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) delivery device, a soot-reducing device and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst.
HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
A honeycomb structure has a pillar-shaped honeycomb structure body having porous partition walls which defines cells which forms a passage of liquid extended from an inflow end face toward an outflow end face, a circumferential wall arranged to surround a circumference of the partition walls. The honeycomb structure body has an outermost circumference cell structure including a complete cell arranged at the outermost circumference of the honeycomb structure body, a center cell structure formed by the cells arranged at a center part at an inner side to the outermost circumference cell structure, and a boundary wall arranged at a boundary part between the outermost circumference cell structure and the center cell structure. The outermost circumference cell structure and the center cell structure are formed as different structures to each other, and a thickness of the boundary wall is set to be thicker than a thickness of the circumferential wall.
ENGINE APPARATUS
An engine apparatus includes an engine, an exhaust gas purification device, an outlet side bracket, and an inlet side bracket. The exhaust gas purification device is mounted above a cylinder head to extend along an axis of an output shaft of the engine. The inlet side bracket is configured to couple an exhaust gas inlet side of the exhaust gas purification device to the cylinder head.
