Engine Cooling System
20210254528 · 2021-08-19 ·

An engine cooling system comprising an exhaust enclosure formed in an engine compartment of a work machine. An exhaust processing system is situated within the exhaust enclosure. The exhaust enclosure is bounded in part by spaced upper and lower panels that are exposed to the ambient environment. At least one opening is formed in each panel. When an engine and fan also contained within the engine compartment are shut down, ambient air flows into the exhaust enclosure through the opening in the lower panel. The air flows around the exhaust processing system and back into the ambient environment through the opening formed in the upper panel.

A mobile emissions control system is provided for diesel engines operated on ocean-going ships at-berth. The emissions control system comprises two essential elements: an emissions capturing system and an emissions control system. The emissions control system may be mounted on a towable chassis or mounted on a barge, allowing it to be placed alongside ocean-going ships at-berth. The emission capturing system captures exhaust from a ship's diesel engine and conducts it into the emissions control system, which cleans the exhaust and then passes clean air into the atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.

IMPROVED AFTER TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

An after treatment system (ATS) for a vehicle having an ATS module includes, fluidly connected in series, an inlet, a Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC), a urea mixer and a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and an outlet. The inlet is fluidly connected to an output of an engine of the vehicle and the outlet is fluidly connected to an outlet tube of the vehicle. The inlet, DOC, mixer, SCR and outlet are arranged to define a substantial rectangular path of a flow (F) of exhaust gases flowing in the ATS, with the inlet and the outlet being positioned at a same vertex of the substantial rectangular path of the flow (F).

Diffuser assemblies and catalytic reactors comprising the same

Briefly, in one aspect, a catalytic assembly described herein comprises a module comprising at least one layer of structural catalyst bodies having an inlet face for receiving a gas stream. A diffuser assembly is arranged a distance of greater than 50 mm from the inlet face, the diffuser assembly including at least one diffuser element comprising a plurality of apertures, wherein a ratio of aperture length (L) in the gas stream flow direction to aperture hydraulic diameter (D.sub.a) is less than 1.
