A portion of the gasket is exposed toward the turbine or the filter.

A method and system for drilling holes in a repaired composite structure. Four corner holes are selected from holes outside of a repaired area in the repaired composite structure. The four corner holes define a rectangle encompassing the repaired area with sides that each include a pair of corner holes with intermediate holes in between. A surface representation is generated based on a scan of the repaired composite structure that includes the rectangle. Side hole locations between a corresponding pair of corner holes are generated for each side of the rectangle. Grid vector lines are generated between corresponding pairs of side hole locations on opposite sides of the rectangle. The grid vector lines intersect each other at intersection points on the surface representation. Point coordinates are determined for intersection points that lie within the repaired area. A path is created for drilling holes at point coordinates for the intersection points.

CUTTING DEVICE

A cutting device of cutting a soft honeycomb mold body in a cutting direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the honeycomb mold body. A cutting device has a wire, a tension supply part and a pair of ultrasonic generators. The wire has a contact part which is stretched and in contact with the honeycomb mold body when the honeycomb mold body is cut. The tension supply part supplies tensile to the contact part when the honeycomb mold body is cut. The pair of ultrasonic generators have respective vibrator terminals arranged in contact with the contact part of the wire. The ultrasonic generators generate ultrasonic vibration in the cutting direction and supply the generated ultrasonic vibration directly to the wire.

The fabric is impregnated with the aqueous mixture so as to form a pliable binder wrap. The pliable binder wrap is wound completely around at least a portion of the exhaust system structure. It can be desirable for the component to further comprise at least one thermal insulator comprising inorganic fibers, where the thermal insulator is disposed between the pliable binder wrap and the exterior of the exhaust system structure.
