An alternator adapter for a generator engine includes a main body defining an airflow chamber. The main body includes an airflow outlet in a first end of the main body, an engine shaft opening in a second end of the main body opposite the first end, and an airflow inlet between the first end and the second end. The alternator adaptor also includes an engine mount coupled to the first end of the main body around the airflow outlet and aligned with the engine shaft opening, and an alternator mount coupled to the second end of the main body around the engine shaft opening.

An alternator adapter for a generator engine includes a main body defining an airflow chamber. The alternator adaptor also includes an engine mount coupled to the first end of the main body around the airflow outlet and aligned with the engine shaft opening, and an alternator mount coupled to the second end of the main body around the engine shaft opening.

A thermal management system for a vehicle may include a refrigerant circuit in which a refrigerant circulates, as well as a heating circuit, a first coolant circuit configured for a temperature control of a drive device of the vehicle, and a second coolant circuit configured for a temperature control of an electrical store of the vehicle in which a coolant circulates. The system may further include a chiller incorporated in the refrigerant circuit and a chiller guide fluidically separate from the refrigerant circuit. The chiller guide may have a chiller path configured to conduct the coolant and which extends through the chiller, and may have a bypass path configured to conduct the coolant and which circumvents the chiller. The system may additionally include a chiller valve device configured to selectively fluidically connect the first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit to the chiller path and the bypass path.

An air-cooled internal combustion engine including a crankshaft, a cylinder, a blower assembly including a blower housing and a fan, and a static cover. The static cover includes a main body that is aligned with the crankshaft, an arm that extends from the main body and is aligned with the cylinder, and a plurality of air intake openings. A first subset of the air intake openings is formed through the main body and a second subset of the air intake openings is formed through the arm, and the static cover is configured to prevent user access to a moving component of the engine. The fan is configured to move air into the blower housing through the air intake openings.

Control system for thermal management of an engine aftertreatment device
A control system is provided for thermal management of an aftertreatment device in an engine that is provided in an enclosure. The engine has a cooling fan that is operable in a first direction to cool said engine. The fan is also operable in a reverse direction opposite to the first direction. The control system includes a first temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the engine or the enclosure. The control system further includes a second temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the aftertreatment device. The control system also includes a processor that is coupled to the first and second temperature sensors. The processor is configured to issue control signals, based on whether regeneration is required by the aftertreatment device or not, for selectively controlling a direction of operation associated with the cooling fan.

Embodiments of a powertrain cooling system and embodiments of a radiator module are provided for deployment onboard a vehicle. In one embodiment, the powertrain cooling system includes a first airflow path, a second airflow path, a primary radiator core positioned in the first airflow path, an auxiliary radiator core position in the second airflow path, and a first airflow valve positioned in the second airflow path upstream of the auxiliary radiator core. The first airflow valve is movable between a closed position wherein the first airflow valve impedes airflow to the auxiliary radiator core and an open position.
