A wall-mounted hair dryer includes a housing having at least one outer wall with a turbo air blower received therein. On the outer wall are a pair of control switches for adjusting both the blower speed and the intensity of an internal heater. At the upper end of the housing is a manifold in fluid communication with the air blower. The manifold includes at least a left, a right and a central conduit, each having an outlet with an adjustable, louvered nozzle mounted thereon. The nozzles surround an adjustable mirror for assisting a user with styling the hair. The blower housing is mounted on a wall or door using one of three mounting brackets.

A hair grooming apparatus includes a vacuum mechanism and a vacuum chamber that is in fluid communication with the vacuum mechanism. The vacuum chamber includes a first opening positioned at a first end of the vacuum chamber with a first cross-sectional area and arranged to accommodate an insertion of a section of hair and a second opening positioned at a second and opposite end of the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber further includes a wall extending between the first and second openings and defining an interior bore. An air pocket is formed along a section of the interior bore extending from a first location located proximate to the first opening with a second cross-sectional area to a second location positioned between the first location and the second opening with a third cross-sectional area. The second cross-sectional area is greater than both the first cross-sectional area and the third cross-sectional area.
VACUUM ASSISTED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GROOMING HAIR
A hair grooming apparatus includes a vacuum mechanism and a vacuum chamber that is in fluid communication with the vacuum mechanism. The vacuum chamber includes a first opening positioned at a first end of the vacuum chamber with a first cross-sectional area and arranged to accommodate an insertion of a section of hair and a second opening positioned at a second and opposite end of the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber further includes a wall extending between the first and second openings and defining an interior bore. An air pocket is formed along a section of the interior bore extending from a first location located proximate to the first opening with a second cross-sectional area to a second location positioned between the first location and the second opening with a third cross-sectional area. Vacuum assisted systems and methods for grooming hair
In one embodiment disclosed herein, a hair grooming system includes a vacuum canister, a hose, and a hand-held unit. The hose is secured to and in fluid communication with the vacuum canister and the hand-held unit. The hand-held unit includes a vacuum chamber. A mechanism for creating a vacuum is positioned in the vacuum canister, and the vacuum is communicated to the vacuum chamber by the hose. The system can further include a heating element and a fan arranged to heat air and move the air into the vacuum chamber. In one embodiment disclosed herein, a method for grooming hair includes the steps of placing a section of hair into a vacuum chamber; drawing a vacuum to remove excess water from the hair; and applying heated air to the section of hair.
