Method for a combustion machine with two times three strokes
A method for a combustion engine has a working cycle of three revolutions of the crankshaft. The method includes: feeding a fuel mixture into a combustion chamber of a cylinder while moving a piston from a second top dead-center to a first bottom dead-center; compressing an air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber while moving the piston from the first bottom dead-center to a first top dead-center; burning the air-fuel mixture while moving the piston from the first top dead-center to a second bottom dead-center; compressing a gas mixture in the combustion chamber while moving the piston from the second bottom dead-center to the first top dead-center; burning the gas mixture while moving the piston from the first top dead-center to the first bottom dead-center; and expelling the gas mixture from the combustion chamber while moving the piston from the first bottom dead-center to the second top dead-center.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A SUPERCHARGED INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING COMBUSTION AIR FOR A SUPERCHARGED INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a supercharged internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder group with a number n of combustion chambers, wherein, during a first operating state, all n combustion chambers are supplied with combustion air via a primary charge air path and, during a second operating state, only a portion of the n combustion chambers are supplied with combustion air from the primary charge air path and another portion of the n combustion chambers are supplied with combustion air from a separate compressed air reservoir.
Methods and systems for purging condensate from a charge air cooler
Methods and systems are provided for purging condensate from a charge air cooler towards an intake air filter. In one example, a method may include operating a motor to rotate an engine in reverse and flowing air from the intake manifold to the atmosphere via the charge air cooler to purge condensate towards an intake air filter.

MEMBRANE PUMP, IN PARTICULAR FOR USE IN THE EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, AND INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE COMPRISING A MEMBRANE PUMP
A membrane pump (1, 1, 1), in particular for use in the exhaust gas tract of a combustion engine (70), comprising a pressure housing (2), the internal volume (4) of which is subdivided by a number of resiliently deformable membranes (6) into a plurality of sub-volumes (8, 10) separated from one another on the gas side, wherein a biasing force is applied to the or each membrane (6) in such a way that in the pressure-free state the sub-volume (8) forming the primary side has a minimum value in relation to the deformability of the or each membrane (6), is to act so as particularly to increase effectiveness during use in the exhaust system of a combustion engine (70). For this purpose, according to the invention, a leaf spring (36) is provided as a restoring spring for applying the biasing force to the membrane (6).
Method for purging condensate from a charge air cooler
Methods and systems are provided for cleaning out condensate stored at a charge air cooler. In response to increased condensate accumulation at a charge air cooler, airflow through the engine is increased to purge the condensate while an engine actuator is adjusted to maintain engine torque. Combustion stability issues of engine cylinders are addressed by adjusting fueling of each cylinder individually during condensate ingestion.
