An upper surface of the cosmetic material is maintained flat.

A composition is disclosed that includes pure silk fibroin-based protein fragments that are substantially devoid of sericin, wherein the composition has an average weight average molecular weight ranging from about 17 kDa to about 38 kDa, wherein the composition has a polydispersity of between about 1.5 and about 3.0, wherein the composition is substantially homogeneous, wherein the composition between 0 ppm to about 500 ppm of inorganic residuals, and wherein the composition includes between 0 ppm to about 500 ppm of organic residuals.

A cosmetic container with an application member includes a cylindrical barrel, a core, a bottle that is configured to accommodate cosmetic and has an opening, a sleeve, and a joint that has an opening portion and a closed portion. The sleeve is configured to expose the application member or cover an outer circumference of the application member by a sliding operation of the sleeve. When the sleeve slides for exposing the application member, the opening portion overlaps with the opening so that the cosmetic passes through the opening portion and the opening. When the sleeve slides for covering the outer circumference of the application member, the closed portion overlaps with the opening to prevent the cosmetic from passing through between the joint and the bottle.

A jar for cosmetic products that includes a base surmounted by a neck and a lid, the neck having a non-circular cross-section and including a rim. The neck includes at least one first assembly element, the lid including at least one second assembly element. The lid is configured so that: (1) when the lid is in a closed position: (1a) the at least one second assembly element is arranged under the rim; and (1b) the at least one second assembly element and the at least one first assembly element are nested together, and (2) when the lid is in an open position, the at least one second assembly element is disengaged from the at least one first assembly element and the rim The lid is configured to pass from one position to the other by rotation about the neck.

A cosmetic compact for solid or semi solid cosmetic product. The cosmetic compact comprising a lid and a base assembly, wherein the base assembly comprising a base, a frame, a shock absorbing member, and at least one cosmetic pan. The shock absorbing member is disposed in a cavity of the base. The shock absorbing member is coupled to the base and is coupled to the at least one cosmetic pan such that a shock imparted on the cosmetic compact is isolated from the at least one cosmetic pan. The shock absorbing member is deformable and comprises a hollow tubular body defining a central bore extending between an upper-flange and a lower-flange of the shock absorbing member.

A biodegradable cosmetic empty is provided, made from molded fiber for the direct receipt and containment of powder cosmetic via compaction to form a cosmetic pan. The embodiments of the invention present a variety of structural principles that prevent product buckling during compaction, protect against damage to the cosmetic during use, and allow easy use of the pan in cosmetic palettes. The implementation of the claimed invention will dramatically reduce plastic and metal waste in the cosmetic industry. The molded fiber must derive from virgin, cellulosic fibers to prevent contamination of the cosmetic.
