A control apparatus is configured to control a vehicle. The vehicle includes an engine, a generator configured to generate electric power by using motive power outputted from the engine, and a drive motor coupled to a drive wheel. The engine, the generator, and the drive motor are coupled to each other via a planetary gear mechanism. The control apparatus includes a processor configured to diagnose a state of at least one of the engine, the generator, or the drive motor on the basis of a relationship between a rotational speed of the engine, a rotational speed of the generator, and a rotational speed of the drive motor.
Method and system for controlling a two stroke engine based on fuel pressure
A method and system for operating a two-stroke engine includes a fuel system comprising a fuel pressure sensor, fuel temperature sensor and a fuel injector and a controller in communication with the fuel pressure sensor and fuel temperature sensor. The controller controls the fuel injector with a fuel pulsewidth determined by determining a beginning time of a window for measuring fuel pressure, determining an ending time of the window, measuring fuel pressure between the beginning time and the ending time, determining a fuel pulsewidth based on the fuel pressure and fuel temperature and injecting fuel into the two-stroke engine in response to a desired fuel mass.
Rotary oil-electricity hybrid engine
A rotary oil-electricity hybrid engine is an engine with a brand new structure, taking an inner rotor connected with a power output shaft as an example, the rotary oil-electricity hybrid engine is structurally characterized in that: an annular cavity is formed by an outer rotor cylinder and an inner rotor shaft core, an outer rotor blade and an inner rotor blade divide the annular cavity into a combustion chamber and a buffer chamber, and an outer rotor and an inner rotor rotate in the same direction with a changing angle difference within a round angle; and the rotary oil-electricity hybrid engine is operationally characterized in that: gas in the combustion chamber is emptied during cold start, and a numerical control motor is linked with a bump of a limiting ring to enable the inner and outer rotors to mesh, rotate at a constant speed and reach a high rotating speed.

Gas engine heat pump and method of operating the same
A gas engine heat pump is provided including an engine having an ignition plug, a compressor connected to the engine, a mixer that mixes air and fuel and supplies the mixture to the engine, a zero governor having a valve that regulates the fuel supplied to the mixer, a throttle valve disposed between the mixer and the engine to regulate a flow of the mixture to the engine, and a controller. Upon receiving a command to stop running the engine, the controller changes a target number of revolutions of the engine, controls an opening degree of the valve based on the target number of revolutions if a current number of revolutions of the engine exceeds a first reference number, and controls the ignition plug to stop igniting if the current number of revolutions of the engine reaches a second reference number which is lower than the first reference number.
Two-stroke engine for working machine and series hybrid device for working machine incorporating the same
A two-stroke engine (4) has a throttle motor (22) for driving a throttle valve (20), a fuel injection device (430) disposed in an intake system (18) including a crank chamber (420), and a control unit (24) controlling the throttle motor (22) and the fuel injection device. The two-stroke engine (4) is designed to achieve an engine rotation speed of 4,500 rpm to 7,000 rpm when the throttle valve (20) is fully open. The two-stroke engine (4) is operated with the throttle full open by the control unit (24), and a battery (8) is charged with electric power generated by a generator (6) using the two-stroke engine.
Systems and methods for an engine
Various systems and methods are provided for adjusting operating parameters of an internal combustion engine. In one example, a system may include adjusting an amount of advance of a fuel injection timing of a plurality of fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine relative to top dead center (TDC) responsive to engine output demand, where, as the engine output demand increases, the amount of advance first decreases and then increases. In this way, an amount of vehicle emissions may be decreased while an amount of fuel consumption is decreased.
