BEARING CAP OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A bearing cap (1) is attached to a bulkhead (22) of a cylinder block (21) made of a light metal through a pair of bolts (24). The bearing cap (1) has a frame (2) made of an iron-based metal and a cast light-alloy part (3). The frame (2) has a pair of pillar parts (9) through which the bolts (24) extend and a circular-arc-shaped arch section (10). At high temperatures, the span of the pair of the bolts (24) increases due to thermal expansion of the light-alloy material, and the pair of the pillar parts (9) expand. This causes the middle part of the arch section (10) to shift upward, thereby suppressing an increase in bearing clearance.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

An internal combustion engine has a cylinder block and a cylinder head fixed to each other with a plurality of bolts, and a piston fitted in a cylinder bore of the cylinder block so as to be able to reciprocate. A portion of the cylinder bore having a minimum diameter in a travel range of a skirt across which the skirt travels as the piston reciprocates is located within a range facing the skirt when the piston is at a bottom dead center. A clearance between the skirt and the minimum-diameter portion has a minimum value of a clearance between the skirt and a wall surface of the cylinder bore.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CYLINDER BLOCK FOR VEHICLE

A method for manufacturing a cylinder block for a vehicle integrates a cylinder liner with the cylinder block. The method includes steps of: preparing a molded material having a cylinder liner shape; fixing the prepared molded material to an inside of a mold for the cylinder block; and casting the cylinder block integrated with the molded material by injecting casting molten metal for the cylinder block into the mold for the cylinder block to which the molded material is fixed.

ENGINE BED PLATE

An engine bed plate includes a plurality of partition walls provided in a casing and dividing an interior of the casing to define a plurality of crank chambers. A first ventilation hole is provided in a front wall and each of the plurality of partition walls. The first ventilation hole is formed in a horizontal direction to ventilate the plurality of crank chambers.

Cover assembly

The invention relates to a cover assembly for covering of a cylinder head with a lid, a frame and at least one air-oil separator, as well as the use of such a cover assembly as an enclosure for at least one cylinder head of a combustion engine of a vehicle or a combustion engine for stationary use.

Engine with rocker chamber

An engine includes a cylinder, a rocker chamber, an air filter, a crankcase and a rocker chamber cover, wherein the rocker chamber cover is disposed above the cylinder. The engine further includes a cover plate, wherein the cover plate is located at the top of the rocker chamber cover, and the rocker chamber cover and the cover plate are spliced to form a separation cavity and a connection channel. According to the engine provided by the invention, the top structure of the rocker chamber is re-designed and the top space of the rocker chamber is sufficiently used so as to achieve the objects of optimizing a lubricating system and reducing emission, as well as reducing the manufacturing cost and difficulty.

SEAL STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A seal structure for an internal combustion engine comprising: a cover side seal member which extends on upper surface sides or lower surface sides of both of an engine main body section and a chain casing and pressed and held against a cover member; a casing side seal member arranged at left or right end section of one end surfaces of the engine main body section onto which the chain casing is attached and pressed and held against the chain casing; a receiving concavity formed to extend on a junction surface of the chain casing to the cover member; and an extremely thick connection block section formed integrally on one end section of the casing side seal member, fitted into and retained by the receiving concavity, and projected more toward the cover member side than a junction surface of the chain casing to the cover member in a free state.
