The sealing arrangement further comprises at least one molded seal for sealing a second interface between two connectable parts of the engine, wherein the molded seal comprises two seal end portions comprising sealing areas to be sealingly connected to the O-ring.
Metal gasket
A metal gasket (10) installed between a cylinder head and a cylinder block comprises at least one metal substrate (11) coated with a sealant (19) on its outer surface, and including a full bead (13) for cylinder bore hole sealing and a half bead (16) for liquid hole sealing. The half bead (16) includes: an inclined plate portion (16b) connected to a flat substrate body (11a) of the metal substrate (11) through a first bend portion (16a) and inclined with respect to the substrate body (11a); and an edge plate portion (16d) connected to the inclined plate portion (16b) through a second bend portion (16c) and inclined with respect to the inclined plate portion (16b). A radius at a convex surface of the first bend portion (16a) and a radius at a concave surface of the second bend portion (16c) are in a range of 2.0 mm to 3.5 mm.
Fuel injector mounting assembly for an opposed-piston engine
A fuel injector mounting assembly in an opposed-piston engine allows for mounting of a fuel injector in a cylinder block without significantly deforming the wall of the cylinder into which the injector is configured to deliver fuel. The fuel injector mounting assembly includes a clamping arrangement to clamp the fuel injector to the cylinder block, an elongate tubular sleeve that sheathes a nozzle portion of the fuel injector, and a spanner nut attached to the elongate tubular sleeve. Clamping loads applied to retain the fuel injector in the cylinder block are controlled by the spanner nut.
Cylinder head bolt boss cutouts
A cylinder head [20, 120] mountable onto a cylinder block [16] of an engine [10] is disclosed. The cylinder head [20, 120] includes at least one fastener boss [28, 128] configured for receiving a fastener [24], and the cylinder head [20, 120] is securely fastened onto the cylinder block [16] of the engine [10] by the fastener [24]. A boss cutout [30, 130] is formed on a lower portion of the at least one fastener boss [28, 128] that abuts the cylinder block [16] such that a contact pressure balance of sealing pressures around the cylinder block [16] is evenly distributed.

Oil drain back seal and systems, assemblies, kits, and methods thereof
A funnel or drain back seal and systems, assemblies, components, kits, and methods thereof can comprise a body defining an opening that extends from a top of the body to a bottom of the body; a head portion that extends outward from the top of the body; and a flap or lip that extends outward from the bottom of the body. The opening can be adapted to pass draining oil from the top of the body to the bottom of the body for supply into an engine block.
Insulated exhaust port liner for a cylinder head assembly of a motor vehicle
An insulated exhaust port liner of a cylinder head assembly for fluidly connecting to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes a sealing layer. The sealing layer has a first surface defining a passage for fluidly connecting to the internal combustion engine and receiving exhaust gas. The sealing layer further includes a second surface opposite to the first surface. The liner further includes a thermal barrier layer coated onto the second surface of the sealing layer. The thermal barrier layer is a porous non-woven material for supporting the sealing layer on the cylinder head and reducing a transfer of heat from the sealing layer to the cylinder head.
Air-fuel system for a circulating piston engine
An engine includes a housing and a combustion assembly. The combustion assembly includes an annular bore and a combustion piston assembly disposed within the annular bore. The combustion piston assembly includes a set of pistons, a first sealing ring connected to each piston and a second sealing ring connected to each piston. The second sealing ring is configured to provide selective access between the annular bore and at least one fluid conduit carried by the engine. The engine includes at least one valve configured to move between a first position within the annular bore to allow the combustion piston assembly to travel within the annular bore from a first location proximate to the at least one valve to a second location distal to the at least one valve and a second position within the annular bore to define a combustion chamber.
Internal combustion engine system
A system and method are provided for an internal combustion engine. An engine system, in one example, includes a cylinder liner positioned within an opening of a crankcase, including a surface biasing a landing surface of an undercut fillet of the crankcase, and including a cylinder opening and a seal arranged in a groove of the cylinder liner positioned axially above the undercut fillet. The engine system further includes a fluid gasket and a combustion gasket positioned between a cylinder head and the crankcase, the fluid gasket and the combustion gasket being decoupled from one another.
Substrate storage container with umbrella-shaped seal lip
Corrosion resistance of valves is enhanced, while ensuring the check valve function of the valves against an inflow of outside air. Disclosed is a substrate storage container that includes: a container body for storing at least one substrate; a lid for closing an opening of the container body; and at least one valve for controlling gas flow to the container body or from the container body.
