A convertible carrying case having a first container and a second container that is convertible between a primary configuration and a secondary configuration. A system, such as a camping or lounging system, includes a first spreader bar and a second spreader bar. The system also includes a hammock-tent defining a first end sleeve and a second end sleeve, wherein the first spreader bar is configured to be removably inserted into the first end sleeve and the second spreader bar is configured to be removably inserted into the second end sleeve. The system also includes at least one bracket, wherein at least one of the first spreader bar and the second spreader bar is configured to be detachably coupled with the at least one bracket to form a chair framework. The system may be deployable in a hammock-tent mode or a chair mode.

A system, such as a camping or lounging system, includes a first spreader bar and a second spreader bar. The system also includes a hammock-tent defining a first end sleeve and a second end sleeve, wherein the first spreader bar is configured to be removably inserted into the first end sleeve and the second spreader bar is configured to be removably inserted into the second end sleeve. Various systems and methods relate to an adaptive chair system having (i) a stowed mode in which members of the chair frame are compactly contained within a multi-function bag (MFB), and (ii) a deployed mode in which the multi-purpose chair is configured to transition between at least two seating modes. In an illustrative example, the chair may be provided with an adaptive frame which may be reconfigured to transition between the seating modes. For example, the chair may transition between any of a vertical/upright (chair) mode (e.g., FIG. 8B), a vertical/upright (chair) mode using trek pole handle segment(s) (e.g., FIG. 1C), a low-profile/recon (seat) mode (e.g., FIG. 2B), and a longitudinal/lounge mode (e.g., FIG. 2B). Various embodiments may advantageously provide an adaptive chair system in an ultralight form factor which may fulfill multiple functions including, by way of example and not limitation, seating, sun/rain canopy, footrest, or some combination thereof.

A portable seat assembly for facilitating a user to be seated in any location includes a pole that is insertable into ground having the pole being vertically oriented. A stop is positionable around the pole to inhibit over insertion of the pole into the ground. A seat is removably attachable to the pole to facilitate a user to sit thereon. Additionally, the seat has a storage chamber integrated therein for storing objects. A lid is removably attachable to the seat and a cushion is coupled to the lid for the user to sit upon. A strap is removably attachable to the seat for wearing over the user's shoulders to carry the seat.
