Fuel Injection Valve for Combustion Engines
A fuel injection valve (10) comprises an intermediate valve with a mushroom-shaped intermediate valve member (78). The shaft (76) of the intermediate valve member (78) is guided with a sliding fit in the guiding passage (74) of an intermediate component (66). An annular space (120) is defined between the shaft (76) and the head (80) of the intermediate valve member (78) and the intermediate component (66), and a high-pressure inlet (86) opens into the annular space, which is formed by an inner annular space (108) and by a split ring space (118). The split ring space (118) is defined between the head (80) and the intermediate component (66), and is also radially outwardly defined by a sealing bead (112). The adhesion force between the intermediate valve member (78) and the intermediate component (66), which acts against the opening motion of the injection valve member (56), is minimized.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP
Provided is a high pressure fuel pump including: a body formed in a side surface thereof with a discharge hole; a pressurizing device for generating a suction force for sucking fuel supplied from a fuel tank and a pressurizing force for pressurizing the fuel at a high pressure; a seal carrier coupled to a lower portion of the body and coupled with the pressurizing device; a flow control valve coupled to one side of the body, for controlling a supply flow rate and a discharge pressure of the fuel; and a pressure relief valve for relieving an abnormal high pressure by transferring a part of discharged fuel to a low pressure space formed in the lower portion of the body when the abnormal high pressure exceeding a preset pressure limit is generated in a fuel supply system for supplying the fuel discharged through the discharge hole to an injector.

Fueling systems and methods are disclosed. Various fueling systems may comprise a single fuel pump configured to supply fuel to a first fuel rail at a first fuel pressure along a first fuel circuit and configured to supply fuel to a second fuel rail at a second fuel pressure along a second fuel circuit, wherein the first fuel rail and second fuel rail are arranged in parallel, and the first fuel circuit is independent of the second fuel circuit.

An electrically actuated control valve has three mouths and three operating positions, in which the three mouths includes a first mouth for inlet of a working fluid, and a second mouth and a third mouth for outlet of the working fluid. The three operating positions include a first operating position in which a passage of fluid from the first mouth to the second mouth and the third mouth is enabled, a second operating position in which a passage of fluid from the first mouth to only one of said second and third mouths is enabled, and a third operating position in which the passage of fluid from the first to the second mouth and the third mouth is disabled. The control valve includes an electric or electromagnetic actuator for controlling the passage of fluid from the first mouth to the second and third mouths providing the aforesaid three operating positions.
Restrictive flow passage in common rail injectors
An injector has an injector body including an injector cavity defining an inner wall and a longitudinal axis, an injector orifice and a plunger slidably disposed within the injector cavity. The plunger has an outer portion and an inner portion at different locations longitudinally along the plunger. The inner portion has a plurality of surface portions including a guiding portion configured to substantially mate with the inner wall of the injector cavity, guide the plunger to slidably move in a direction along the longitudinal axis and substantially prevent the plunger from laterally translating within the injector cavity. The plurality of surface portions also includes a restriction portion configured to form a restrictive cavity between an exterior surface of the inner portion and the inner wall of the injector cavity axially along a length of the inner portion.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An internal combustion engine including an intake passage fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into an intake passage and a cylinder inside fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber, includes: a fuel pump pressurizing and feeding fuel, which is fed from a fuel tank, to the cylinder inside fuel injection valve; a securing part provided on a cylinder head member of the internal combustion engine to secure the fuel pump; an introducing member having heat conductivity, the introducing member connected to the fuel pump and formed with: a first introducing path for introducing fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel pump; and a second introducing path for introducing fuel from the fuel tank to the intake passage fuel injection valve; and a heat transmitting member transmitting heat between the introducing member and the securing part.
VARIABLE-AREA POPPET NOZZLE ACTUATOR
A fuel injector includes a housing defining a longitudinal bore having a proximal end and a distal end, a high pressure fuel duct in communication with the longitudinal bore and a valve seat including a valve seat surface and an aperture at the distal end of the longitudinal bore. A poppet valve is disposed in the longitudinal bore and includes a valve head that is engageable with the valve seat surface. An actuator device is disposed at the proximal end of the longitudinal bore and a hydraulic coupler is disposed between the actuator and the poppet valve within the longitudinal bore. The hydraulic coupler defines a chamber that receives low pressure fuel for providing a hydraulic lash adjuster between the actuator and the poppet valve.
Fuel pump with discharge control
In a fuel pump that includes a pump housing (10) that has fuel passages (11a, 11b), a plunger (17) that is movably housed in the pump housing (10), a fuel pressurizing chamber (15) that is formed in the pump housing (10) and draws in fuel via one of the fuel passages (11a) that is on the intake side of the fuel pressurizing chamber (15), pressurizes the fuel that has been drawn in, and discharges the pressurized fuel via the other fuel passage (11b) that is on the discharge side of the fuel pressure chamber (15), in response to movement of the plunger (17), and valve elements (12, 14, 16) that are arranged in the fuel passages (11a, 11b) near the fuel pressurizing chamber (15), each of the valve elements (12, 14, 16) has a reed valve body (41, 42, 43; 74, 75, 76) arranged in the fuel passage (11a) on the intake side of the fuel pressurizing chamber (15) or the fuel passage (11b) on the discharge side of the fuel pressurizing chamber (15); and an operating member (21) that applies operating force in at least one of a valve opening direction or a valve closing direction to the reed valve body (41, 42, 43; 74, 75, 76) is provided in the pump housing (10).
Fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines
The invention relates to a fuel injection valve comprising a housing (1) in which pressure is applied to a nozzle needle (8), in a control chamber (28), at least indirectly with a closing force in the direction of a valve seat (10). The pressure in the control chamber (28) can be adjusted using a control valve (40) as said control chamber (28) is able to be connected to a low pressure chamber (46) via an outlet restrictor (31) and be filled with fuel at high pressure via an inlet restrictor (30). A longitudinally-displaceable control piston (29) is arranged in the control chamber (28) and divides said chamber (28) into a first control sub-chamber and a second control sub-chamber (228), the first control sub-chamber (128) being able to be connected to the low pressure chamber (46) by means of said outlet restrictor (31). A sealing surface (38) is formed on the control piston (29) and interacts with a sealing seat (39) in the control chamber (28) such that the inlet restrictor (30) is hydraulically disconnected from the second control sub-chamber (228) when the sealing surface (38) comes to rest against the sealing seat (39). Said first control sub-chamber (128) and second control sub-chamber (228) are constantly hydraulically interconnected by means of a restrictor connection (34).
Valve for injecting gas
A valve for injecting fuel in an internal combustion engine includes a housing having an inflow section and an outflow section for the fuel and a drive section situated between the inflow section and the outflow section. A first control element is provided which is assigned to the inflow section and which enables or prevents the supply of the fuel in a manner dependent on a switching position of the first control element. A second control element is provided which is assigned to the outflow section and which enables or prevents the discharge of the fuel in a manner dependent on a switching position of the second control element. An actuating drive is provided which is arranged in the drive section and which is coupled to both control elements such that the control elements can be moved into an open position independently of one another.
