The present disclosure provides a hybrid electric vehicle, a drive control method and a drive control device of a hybrid electric vehicle. The drive control method includes: obtaining a current gear position and a current operating mode of the hybrid electric vehicle, a current electric charge level of a power battery and a slope of a road where the hybrid electric vehicle is; determining whether the hybrid electric vehicle is within a taxiing start-stop interval according to the current gear position of the hybrid electric vehicle, the current electric charge level of the power battery, and the slope of the road; if the hybrid electric vehicle is within the taxiing start-stop interval, further obtaining a current speed of the hybrid electric vehicle; and causing the hybrid electric vehicle to enter a small load stop mode or a small load stall mode according to the current speed.

The clutch (40) can include a starter gear (54), an outer race (56), an inner race (60), a roller cage (42) supporting a plurality of roller disks (46), and at least one spring (52). The roller cage (42) can include an enlarged inertia ring supported adjacent to a radially outwardly located peripheral edge (50) for retarding rotational movement of the roller cage (42) relative to the inner race (60) in response to acceleration of the starter motor (21). The spring (52) biases the roller cage (42) relative to the inner race (60) toward a disengaged clutch position, such that the plurality of roller disks (46) engage the inner race (60) and are spaced from the outer race surface (56).

The engine assembly also includes a fan cover mounted over the engine cooling fan and secured to the backplate, the fan cover including an opening through which an air flow is provided to the engine cooling. The backplate and the fan cover collectively form an air guide that directs a flow of cooling air generated by the engine cooling fan through the one or more air flow passages of the backplate and to the engine.
