09744011 · 2017-08-29 · ·

A dental cleaning system includes a cylindrical body with a first portion and a second portion. A cleaning portion is positioned within the second portion and includes a cavity to enable the cleaning portion to at least partially enclose a dental implant device. The cylindrical body rotates such that the cleaning portion therein rotates to clean at least a portion of the dental implant device. A projection extends outwardly from a surface of the cleaning portion such that the projection is positioned within the cavity. The projection removes debris from at least a portion of the dental implant device when the cylindrical body rotates. A plurality of cleaning protrusions extend outwardly from a sidewall of the cavity such that the cleaning protrusions at least partially circumscribe the projection. The cleaning protrusions remove the debris from at least a portion of the dental implant device when the cylindrical body rotates.

Mold insert and method of making a mold insert

A mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided. The venting cavity, which is in air-conducting connection with the blind-hole end of the filament cavity, has a depth between 1 μm and 20 μm. A method of manufacturing the mold insert includes providing first and second insert plates, forming a portion of a filament cavity into at least one of the front faces of the insert plates, forming a venting cavity into the front face with the filament cavity, and bringing the front faces of the plates into close abutment to form a filament cavity.

INTERDENTAL CLEANER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
20170216002 · 2017-08-03 ·

An interdental cleaner has a rod-shaped carrier consisting of plastic, which has a cleaning device in an axial end area. The cleaning device comprises at least one fabric part, which extends in the direction of a longitudinal axis of the carrier and which has mutually intersecting thread systems with warp threads and weft threads. Provisions are made for the fabric part to be connected to the carrier and to radially project from same, wherein thread systems or the warp threads, on the one hand, and the weft threads, on the other hand, extend at an angle in the range of 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis of the rod-shaped carrier and pass through the rod-shaped carrier.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING AN INTERDENTAL CLEANER
20170318948 · 2017-11-09 ·

A method for manufacturing an interdental cleaner includes providing a rod-shaped carrier made of plastic, into which laterally protruding bristles are embedded. In this case, a filament array formed of a plurality of filament strands is inserted into a holding cassette and is fixed in a predefined alignment in the holding cassette by means of a holding device. The holding cassette is then inserted into an injection-molding device and the filament array is extrusion-coated with plastic in the injection-molding device, forming a plurality of rod-shaped carriers arranged spaced apart next to one another. Finally, the filament strands forming the filament array are separated at least in the sections located between adjacent rod-shaped carriers. In addition, a device for carrying out the method is provided.
