MOLD INSERT AND METHOD OF MAKING A MOLD INSERT
A mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided. The venting cavity, which is in air-conducting connection with the blind-hole end of the filament cavity, has a depth between 1 μm and 20 μm. A method of manufacturing the mold insert includes providing first and second insert plates, forming a portion of a filament cavity into at least one of the front faces of the insert plates, forming a venting cavity into the front face with the filament cavity, and bringing the front faces of the plates into close abutment to form a filament cavity.
Cosmetic applicator with special bristle
A cosmetic applicator with a bristle carrier (9), which merges into a stem (12), by way of which the bristle carrier (9) is connected to a handle (13), or into a coupling portion (11) for connecting the bristle carrier (9) to such a stem (12), wherein the bristle carrier (9) carries a multiplicity of in each case single-piece bristles (1) of length (L) and is distinguished in that the bristles (1) consist of two halves (2, 3), which are axially symmetrical relative to one another and are displaced relative to one another, and connected in one piece to one another, along their axis of symmetry (4), wherein each of the halves (2, 3) forms a planar region (6) of the bristle (1), said planar region being located in the displacement plane (5).
Cosmetic applicator comprising holes
The applicator for applying an eyelash cosmetic includes a core having a cavity and side holes connecting the cavity to the exterior of the core. The holes are disposed in a staggered arrangement.
PLASTIC CLIP CORE ASSEMBLY
A plastic clip core assembly is disclosed for use in a rotary brush in a carwash. The plastic clip core is comprised of a plastic clip core, a plurality of longitudinal washing elements (“LWE”) and an equal plurality of plastic clips. The plastic clip core assembly is mated to a rotational hub, creating a rotary brush. The plastic clip core has a plurality of semi-cylindrical void cavities, each with an adjoining cylindrical void cavity. Each plastic clip has two parallel members, a first member and a second member. Each LWE has an upper edge, lower edge, free edge, and a cylindrical mount. A first member of a plastic clip fits into the cylindrical mount of the LWE and the semi-cylindrical void cavity. The second member of the plastic clip fits into the cylindrical void cavity, thus securing the LWE to the plastic clip core. The plastic clip core mates with the rotational hub in a no-slip condition.

DENTAL CLEANER DISCHARGE GUARD SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Rotating dental systems and related guards and methods are disclosed. In some instances a guard may be configured to prevent material from building up on at least a portion of the dental system. The guard may be configured to prevent materials from being discharged from the dental system. In some embodiments, the guard may also be configured to direct the flow of material along a portion of the dental system. Some guards within the scope of this disclosure comprise bristles.
TOOTHBRUSH HANDLE, TOOTHBRUSH AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
The disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a toothbrush handle and includes heating a pelletized polyolefin based (preferably polyethylene based) polymeric material having a biobased content of at least 60% by weight, and injection moulding the heated polymeric material into a moulding cavity thereby forming a toothbrush handle. The moulding cavity has the shape of a toothbrush handle comprising a gripping portion and a bristle support portion. The disclosure also relates to toothbrush handle, a toothbrush and a method of manufacturing a toothbrush.
Dish cleaning brushes
Disclosed is a hand-held dish cleaning brush that includes an elongate handle with a scrubbing head at one end, the scrubbing head including a working part of an elastomer integrally formed with a plurality of bristles and with a plurality of scraping projections that are formed as an array of scraping teeth, wherein the bristles are not directly aligned with but off-set from the scraping teeth and pass between the scraping teeth when flexed forwardly or rearwardly toward the scraping teeth.
Applicator device
An applicator device (1) for applying a composition to an end of a pipe. The applicator device comprises an applicator head (3), the applicator head having a cavity (9) with an opening into which the end of the pipe can be inserted. The applicator head comprises at least one brush (10) and at least one aperture (12) for delivering the composition into the cavity, each brush having bristles which extend into the cavity (9) to wipe against the end of the pipe, each aperture being closer to the opening of the cavity than to a base of the cavity. There is further provided an applicator device (1) comprising a supplementary brush for wiping the composition over an internal surface of the pipe, a container (60) of flux composition for connecting to the applicator device, and a method of applying a composition to an end of a pipe.
Applicator member for cosmetic product applicator, said applicator member being obtained at least partially by moulding at least one thermoplastic elastomer material
