In particular, the present disclosure relates to a cleaning device for cleaning a smoking substitute device, the cleaning device comprising a first section comprising a generally cylindrical outer surface, wherein at least part of the first section is adapted for insertion into a smoking substitute device consumable receiving cavity of a smoking substitute device, wherein at least part of the outer surface of the first section is adapted for cleaning the cavity, and wherein at least the first section is substantially rigid.
