Intake-adaptable gas generator
A system includes a generator using a fluid mixture obtained via a generator inlet, a compressor having a compressor inlet that is connected to a generator outlet by a first set of conduits, a second set of conduits connected to the compressor outlet and the generator inlet, and a sensor in communication with the second set of conduits, where a portion of the fluid mixture includes gas from a hydrocarbon well, and where exhaust fluid of the generator is provided to the compressor. A process includes obtaining a target fluid property and a fluid measurement using the sensor and modifying a parameter of a fluid control device to modify a first flow rate of the flow of the exhaust fluid through the second set of conduits relative to a second flow rate of the flow of the gas provided by the hydrocarbon well through the first set of conduits.
ACTUATOR DEVICE BASED ON AN ELECTROACTIVE MATERIAL
An electroactive material actuator is clamped along one edge (12) and has a pre-bend about a first axis (21) which is parallel to said edge and/or about a second axis which is perpendicular to said edge. The actuator expands with expansion coefficients along the first and second axes which differ by less than 20%. This combination of isotropic (or near isotropic) expansion with a pre-bend across at least one of main axes of the device (i.e. the axes which form the general plane of the actuator) gives rise to various additional operating characteristics.
SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING AND MAINTAINING POWER PLANT PERFORMANCE
A geothermal power plant related maintenance support system comprises: a thermodynamic calculation module for determining performance of specified geothermal power plant components; a plurality of. embedded sensors, each of which is embedded in a different geothermal power plant location and adapted to sense a corresponding real-time geothermal power plant parameter; a plurality of environmental sensors adapted to sense ambient conditions in the vicinity of the geothermal power plant; and a processor in data communication with each of said embedded sensors and environmental sensors.
ACTUATOR USING PHOTO-RESPONSIVE SHAPE-CHANGING CONSTRUCT AND METHOD OF DRIVING SAME
The present invention relates to an actuator using a photo-responsive shape-changing construct, the actuator comprising: a 1-1 polymer film and a 1-2 polymer film, configured to undergo a bending deformation in response to a light irradiation; a first restricting member provided between the 1-1 polymer film and the 1-2 polymer film so as to allow the 1-1 polymer film and the 1-2 polymer film to be connected to each other; and a rotation member configured to rotate as the rotation member, at least in part, is pushed by an end of the 1-1 polymer film along with the bending deformation of the 1-1 polymer film.
ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM

Trench-conformable geothermal heat exchange reservoirs and related methods and systems
The disclosure describes trench-confirmable geothermal reservoirs that can snugly abut trench walls (that may be of virgin, compacted earth) for facilitating heat exchange and flow liquid from one lower end to an opposing top end, and vice versa, depending on desired heat exchange. The direction can be reversed for summer and winter heat/cooling configurations. A series of the reservoirs may be used for appropriate heat transfer. The water volume of the reservoirs is relatively large and slow moving for good earth heat conduction.

Actuator element using carbon electrode
An object of this invention is to create an actuator in which the amount of deformation is maintained and no displacement in the reverse direction occurs, even when a constant voltage is continuously applied for a long period of time. As a means for achieving the above object, the invention provides a conductive thin film comprising a polymer gel containing at least one organic molecule selected from the group consisting of electron-donating organic molecules and electron-withdrawing organic molecules, a nano-carbon material, an ionic liquid, and a polymer.
