When a pipe pressure of a common discharge pipe during an independent discharge step in which only one reciprocating pump among a plurality of reciprocating pumps discharges a fluid to the common discharge pipe differs from internal pressures in pump chambers of the respective reciprocating pumps at discharge step start point angles, a stroke adjustment mechanism adjusts, on the basis of a pressure difference ΔP therebetween, effective stroke lengths of cross heads connected to plungers of the predetermined reciprocating pumps so that the internal pressures in the pump chambers reach the pipe pressure at the discharge step start point angles.

Peristaltic metering pump and methods of operation

A peristaltic pump is provided for conveying a fluid pumping medium through a compressible hose. The pump is designed particularly for use in an aquarium, terrarium, or vivarium for metering fluids accurately and reliably by eliminating permanent tubing deformation and random stopping positions of rollers.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING AN AMPLITUDE OF A PUMP-INDUCED FLUID PRESSURE FLUCTUATION OF A FLUID

The invention relates to a method for determining an amplitude A of a pump-induced fluid pressure fluctuation of a fluid which is regulated to a desired fluid pressure p.sub.soll by means of a pump. In this case, the method comprises providing (S1) a pressure signal of the fluid, determining (S2) the amplitude A of the fluid pressure fluctuation on the basis of the pressure signal which has been provided, checking (S3) whether the pressure signal which has been provided satisfies a predetermined plausibility criterion, and outputting or rejecting (S4) the determined amplitude A on the basis of whether the pressure signal which has been provided satisfies the predetermined plausibility criterion. This advantageously provides a combined method in which, in addition to fundamentally determining the amplitude A of a fluid pressure fluctuation, a plausibility check is also carried out immediately in order to determine whether this fluid pressure fluctuation also actually corresponds to a representative value for the current system state. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a device which is designed to carry out the above-mentioned method and to a motor vehicle having a corresponding device.

VALVE SHAFT PUMP WITH COORDINATED PUMPING AND VALVING OPERATIONS

Pump subsystem for fluid delivery (e.g., in a wearable patch pump) comprises a fluid chamber with pumping motion and a valve shaft assembly with valving motion, both being driven by the same drive mechanism. Fluid chamber has variable volume chamber provided by a piston driven by the drive mechanism and translated relative to a plug in the pump housing. Piston extends the fluid chamber during an intake stroke and retracts the fluid chamber during a discharge stroke. Valve assembly has at least one valve shaft controllably translated by the drive mechanism to selectively align a first throughway with an opening in the pump chamber and a fluid intake port for an intake stroke to draw fluid into the fluid chamber, and align a second throughway with the opening in the pump hamber and a fluid discharge port for an discharge stroke to discharge fluid from the fluid chamber.

Liquid supply system

A liquid supply system includes a suction lance (6) configured to be inserted into a liquid container (14) and at least one level sensor (10, 12) fixed on the lance (6) and configured to detect a liquid level (22) inside a liquid container (14). A control device (4) is connected to the level sensor (10, 12) and configured to determine a rate of change of the liquid level (22) detected by the at least one level sensor (10, 12) and to detect a lance removal if the rate of change reaches or exceeds a predefined threshold.
