Scroll compressor having oldham coupling with key portions projecting from horizontal surfaces into key grooves

A scroll compressor includes a movable scroll having first key grooves, a stationary member having second key grooves, and an Oldham coupling provided between the movable scroll and stationary member. The Oldham coupling is movable with respect to the stationary member along a first axis, and with respect to the movable scroll along a second axis. The Oldham coupling has an annular body portion, at least two first key portions fitted into the first grooves, and a pair of second key portions fitted into the second grooves. The first horizontal surface has inwardly positioned surfaces positioned more on a center of gravity side of the Oldham coupling than virtual extension lines of first inner peripheral edges that are part of an inner peripheral edge of the annular body portion. The first key portions have inwardly positioned portions that project from the inwardly positioned surfaces.

Scroll compressor and refrigeration cycle apparatus

A scroll compressor includes a crank shaft, an orbiting scroll, and a frame. The crank shaft has a lubricant channel. The orbiting scroll has an inner channel and a lubricant channel groove. The inner channel allows the lubricant supplied through the crank shaft to flow outward. The lubricant channel groove has an annular shape and allows the lubricant supplied through the inner channel to be supplied to the thrust surface. The lubricant channel groove is formed such that the lubricant channel groove stays within a region of the thrust surface while the orbiting scroll is orbiting.

Hybrid pump bearing for contamination resistance

A bearing carrier is provided. The bearing carrier including: a bearing body of a first material having a shaft-receiving aperture and a bridge land with a finger cut to channel fluid pressurized by intermeshing of gears rotatably supported by the bearing carrier into an outlet defined by a housing enveloping the bearing carrier, wherein the bearing body includes a bearing face configured to be in a facing spaced relationship with the gears, wherein the bearing face includes a second material integral with the first material, wherein at least one of the first material and the second material define a portion of the bearing face of the bearing body extending about the shaft-receiving aperture, the portion of the bearing face excluding the bridgeland.

Scroll compressor with different sized gaps formed between inner and outer peripheral surfaces of scroll laps

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll including a fixed scroll lap, and a movable scroll including a movable scroll lap. A first scroll lap is one of the fixed scroll lap and the movable scroll lap. A second scroll lap is an other of the fixed scroll lap and the movable scroll lap. A second thickness of the second scroll lap is larger than a first thickness of the first scroll lap. A first side face gap is formed between an inner line of the first scroll lap and an outer line of the second scroll lap. A second side face gap is formed between an outer line of the first scroll lap and an inner line of the second scroll lap. The second side face gap is larger than the first side face gap.
