GROUNDWATER SAMPLING PUMP
The present disclosure relates to a sampling pump configured for use in a wellbore for pumping liquid collecting in the wellbore. The sampling pump has a pump component including a motor and an outer housing configured to be inserted into the well bore. The outer housing has an inlet and an outlet. A fluid sensor detects when the inlet of the outer housing is positioned in the liquid in the wellbore. A flexible electrical cable assembly supplies power to the motor and the fluid sensor, and also communicates with the motor and the fluid sensor. A user control panel communicates with the flexible electrical cable and enables a user to control on and off operation of the DC motor from the control panel. The user control panel also has a component which is responsive to signals from the fluid sensor to indicate when the inlet is at least partially submerged in the liquid within the wellbore, as the pump is lowered into the wellbore.
Water Treatment System and Method

In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Turbomachine
A turbomachine includes a housing and an electric motor in the housing. The electric motor has a shaft, a stator, and a rotor on the shaft. At least one impeller is arranged in a pump housing and driven by the shaft, the impeller having at least one ring of rotor blades delimiting a ring of blade chambers. A side channel is arranged in the pump housing opposite the ring of blade chambers and extends from the pump inlet as far as the pump outlet. A ramp is arranged at an end of the side channel in a radially inner half of the side channel. The ramp starts from a channel bottom, rises in a flow direction as far as the height of the pump housing wall, and merges with its radially outer half into the pump outlet.
Embedded rotary micro pump, its method of integration and motion control
A micro pumping mechanism is proposed to generate flow in micro channels of micro fluidic devices and three dimensional microprocessors cooled by the flow of coolant fluids. The proposed micro pump comprises a rotating disk inside a chamber, which overlaps with the fluidic micro channel. The rotating disk induces a shear flow across the micro channel, transporting fluid elements in the direction of the rotation of the disk. The disk can be rotated by external magnetic or electric fields as in direct drive, induction, or electrostatic motors.
Side-channel pump
A side-channel pump having a pump housing in which an operating chamber which is provided with a side channel and a motor are arranged, and having an impeller in the operating chamber which rotates with a shaft which is driven by the motor. A cooling circuit extends from the operating chamber to the motor and from the motor to a suction portion of the pump, wherein the cooling circuit is supplied from an operating chamber whose outlet side is connected to an outlet opening of the side-channel pump. Using the pump, gas can be drawn in without the pump becoming overheated.
Desalination and/or Gas Production System and Method
A system and method are provided in at least one embodiment to process water to produce gas that can be separated into at least two gas flows using a water treatment system having a disk-pack rotating in it to cause out gassing from the water. In a further embodiment, the method and system use the gas released from the water to produce substantially fresh water from the processed salt water.
Water Treatment System and Water
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module where the intake module is above the vortex module, which is above the disk-pack module and the motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Fluid-Foil Impeller And Method Of Use
The present invention relates in general to the field of fluid reaction surfaces, and more specifically, to a fluid-foil impeller and method of use. One aspect of the fluid-foil impeller utilizes a plurality of fluid-foil discs that may be of uniform and/or variable thickness and configured to rotate rapidly in series to produce propulsion. Each fluid-foil disc comprises a leading edge, a trailing edge, a chord and a fixed pitch. The fluid-foil impeller may further include a standard or Venturi shroud that is designed to encompass the plurality of fluid-foil discs. The plurality of fluid-foil discs are configured to act in cooperation with the shroud to reduce losses incurred from turbulence and the conversion of mechanical work to fluid movement. Fluid may be acted upon by the plurality of fluid-foil discs and/or shroud, singly or in an array. A purpose of the invention is to provide a fluid-foil impeller and method of use that reduces harmful cavitation effects typically encountered by traditional propeller blades when operating at high revolutions per minute. An additional purpose of the invention is to provide a fluid-foil impeller that may be used efficiently and safely in a variety of industrial applications that requires successful propulsion a fluid.
Disk-pack turbine
In at least one embodiment, the invention provides a retrofit for existing water treatment systems where the retrofit includes at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the invention includes a water treatment system combined with at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine.
Shear flow turbomachinery devices
A shear flow turbomachinery device includes a housing having housing walls defining a cavity, a shaft extending into the cavity though a shaft opening in the housing wall at an end of the cavity, a rotor coupled to the shaft within the cavity, the rotor having a plurality of disks extending radially outward from a central axis of the rotor, the disks having a spaced arrangement forming a gap between adjacent disks, and a shroud for shrouding the rotor, the shroud including a pair of end disks coupled to opposing ends of the rotor, a screen extending between outer edges of the pair of end disks, the screen extending around the rotor between the rotor and the housing walls, wherein the shroud is freely rotatable independent of rotation of the rotor to reduce drag on the disks due to the housing walls when the cavity if filled with fluid and the shaft and plurality of disks are rotated.
