A vehicle component such as an axle spindle or suspension beam (3) is connected to a tubular vehicle axle (1) by fitting a connector sleeve (2) onto the axle and subjecting the assembly to a crimping operation in which plural depressions (206,2018) are formed by indentation in the connector sleeve and the axle wall at the connection region (11,12) to fix the connector sleeve on the tubular axle. In the described proposals a solid lubricant (4) such as molybdenum disulphide is applied at the connection region between the connector sleeve (2) and axle (1), before crimping. The further vehicle component (3) is then connected to the connector sleeve (2) by welding.

MODULAR PLANT CAGE ASSEMBLY
20200214227 · 2020-07-09 ·

A modular plant cage assembly for supporting a plant during all stages of growth includes a plurality of horizontal members that is each curved along a longitudinal axis such that each of the horizontal members defines an arc of a circular segment. A plurality of vertical supports is each removably coupled between the horizontal members. Thus, each of the vertical and horizontal members forms a cage for positioning around a plant growing in the ground. The vertical supports are stackable in a vertical orientation for adjusting a height of the cage to accommodate all growth stages of the plant. A plurality of stakes is each of the stakes is releasably coupled to one of the horizontal members that is positioned at the bottom of the cage. Each of the stakes penetrates ground such that the cage is spaced above the ground.

Mounting bracket for agricultural row unit

An agricultural tool unit includes a tool configured to engage the ground and a mounting device. The mounting device supports the tool and presents a device opening configured to receive the frame member. The mounting device includes driving and driven cam elements, with the driven cam element defining at least part of the device opening. The mounting device further includes a cam element shifter operable to selectively impart relative shifting of the cam elements in a first direction. The cam elements present respective cam surfaces that are complementally shaped and slidably engaged with one another to define a cam interface, with the cam interface extending transversely to the first direction such that the driven cam element is moved in a transverse second direction when the cam elements are relatively shifted by the cam element shifter. The driven cam element is configured to adjustably exert a force against the frame member when moving in the second direction.
