Cable clamp
11454266 · 2022-09-27 · ·

A cable clamp for holding a cable, preferably for an LED driver, including a clamp cover and a clamp gear which can be joined together, thereby defining an inner space for accommodating a portion of the cable, and a bracket placed inside the inner space and configured to apply a clamping force on the cable, wherein the bracket is adjustable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the cable such that the bracket can take different positions in the joined state.

Device for attaching a first sub-assembly to a second sub-assembly in an automobile

An attachment device (1) includes: a female member (25); a male member (29) which is capable of insertion into the inner cavity (27) of the female member (25) in an insertion direction; a blocking member (31) which is movable relative to the female member (25), inside the inner cavity (27), between a rest position and an operative position for blocking the male member (29) relative to the female member (25). The attachment device does not have an actuator capable of moving the blocking member (31) from its rest position to its operative position, the blocking member (31) being movable from its rest position to its operative position by an actuator arranged outside the inner cavity (27).

Jamming methods and apparatus

A reconfigurable device comprises flexible bladder that encloses a jammable material. The geometry of the device can be altered by unjamming the jammable material (making it flexible), changing the shape of the device while it is flexible, and then jamming the jammable material (making it rigid). In some applications of this invention, a joint connects rigid arms. The ends of the rigid arms are enclosed in the bladder. By varying the stiffness of the jammable material in the bladder, the stiffness of the joint can be controlled.

A street paddle assembly for propelling, balancing, and slowing the user upon a skateboard includes a shaft, a tube, and a foot. The shaft comprises a plurality of sections, which are selectively mutually engageable so that the sections are linearly oriented. A connector engaged to each of the plurality of sections is positioned to retain the sections in proximity when the sections are mutually disengaged. The foot is engaged to a lower end of the shaft and can frictionally engage a surface. The tube is selectively engageable to an upper end of the shaft and extends bidirectionally therefrom. The tube and the shaft can be grasped in a respective hands of a user, positioning the user to utilize the assembly. Each of a pair of caps selectively engageable to a respective opposed endpoint of the tube retain an article positioned in the tube.

System for holding at least one object to be held in a shaft-type building structure
11353050 · 2022-06-07 ·

A system for holding at least one object to be held in a shaft-type building structure, comprising: a holding device, which in turn comprises at least a first holding device element having a holding portion for holding the holding device on a shaft-type building structure and at least a second holding device element having a second holding portion for holding the holding device on a shaft-type building structure. The at least second holding device element is movably mounted between a first operating position, in which the holding device can be or is held on a shaft-type building structure by means of the second holding device element, and a second operating position, in which the holding device cannot be or is not held on a shaft-type building structure by means of the second holding device element.

Composite rail tie apparatus and method
11345100 · 2022-05-31 ·

A railroad crosstie (tie) may be fabricated from a composite material including a fiber reinforced polymer shell manufactured by pultrusion or other process, and filled by a suitable material, typically selected from expanded elastomeric polymer (such as polyurethane resin or other polymer), concrete, lightweight concrete formed by conventional aggregate, sand, cement, water, and an ultra light filler such as natural materials, sawdust, beads of expanded polymer such as expanded polystyrene, microspheres of glass or plastic, a recycled wooden tie in conjunction with any of the above, or the like. Fasteners may be driven such as spikes, threaded, such as screws, lag screws, spreading screws, rivets, or the like into apertures, pilot holes, or directly into fill absent apertures therein.
