HARNESS FOR CLIP
20220031051 · 2022-02-03 ·

A harness system for a clip. The clip has a base portion and a pair of elongated members, the elongated members folded over the base portion, thereby defining a gap configured to receive portions of a harness. The elongated members are separated from one another by a longitudinal opening for accommodating a rib between the portions of the harness. A gate is securably engaged to a first one of the elongated members and rotatable between an open position in which the gate does not obstruct said longitudinal opening and a closed position in which said gate obstructs said longitudinal opening. The harness is fashioned from a strip of webbing secured to a base along its midline and edges. The webbing thereby forms two pockets, each sized to accommodate one of the elongated members of the clip.

Fastening objects to each other

A method of fastening a second object to a fiber composite part including a structure of fibers embedded in a matrix material includes: providing the fiber composite part including an attachment surface, with a portion of the structure of fibers being exposed at the attachment surface; providing the second object; placing the second object relative to the fiber composite part, with a resin in a flowable state between the attachment surface and the connector; pressing the second object and the fiber composite part against each other and causing mechanical vibration to act on the second object or the fiber composite part or both, thereby causing the resin to infiltrate the exposed structure of fibers and activating the resin to cross-link; whereby the resin, after cross-linking, secures the second object to the fiber composite part.

LOW PRY SEISMIC FITTING
20170275871 · 2017-09-28 · ·

Applicant has disclosed a seismic fitting, and related method, to attach a cable to a structure (e.g., a concrete ceiling, wall or beam of a commercial building). In the preferred “apparatus” embodiment, the seismic fitting, when anchored, comprises: a base with a substantially circular footprint; a substantially circular inner channel, in the base, housing a midsection of cable (preferably wire rope); at least two cable exits in the inner channel, wherein the cable exits are chamfered to prevent and radially equidistant from one another; and a fastener (e.g., a concrete anchor), extending through the entire base, and having one end anchored in concrete; wherein opposite ends of the cable extend beyond the channel and fitting.

Trim panel
09815419 · 2017-11-14 · ·

The present invention relates to a trim panel (1; 101) for a motor vehicle. The trim panel (1; 101) has a first connector (11; 103) for mounting the trim panel (1; 101). The first connector (11; 103) is elongated and extends longitudinally along the trim panel (1; 101). The present invention also relates to a method of mounting a trim panel (1; 101); and a method of forming first and second connectors (11, 13; 103, 105).

Multi-layer encapsulation system for joint sealing of vacuum insulated cabinets
11248640 · 2022-02-15 · ·

An appliance includes an outer wrapper, an inner liner, a trim breaker having a channel that receives at least one of a wrapper edge of the outer wrapper and a liner edge of the inner liner, and a composite encapsulation system that hermetically seals an insulating cavity defined between the outer wrapper and the inner liner. The composite encapsulation system includes a base adhesive and an outer adhesive, wherein the base adhesive defines a structural adhesive component and the outer adhesive defines a sealing adhesive component.

CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO JOINING PARTNERS, AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING SAID CONNECTION
20170321733 · 2017-11-09 ·

A connection between at least two joining partners includes an interlying joining gap, with opposite joining surfaces. At least one of the joining surfaces is wetted with an adhesive layer having incorporated and/or attached solids particles, and the remaining joining gap is filled with an inorganic and/or organic filler material.

Method of manufacturing a vehicle and vehicle

A method for producing a motor vehicle and a correspondingly produced motor vehicle having a modular construction, in which a substructure and at least one superstructure module are produced independently of one another and are subsequently permanently connected together.

FASTENING METHOD FOR COMPONENTS

Methods for fastening or coupling dissimilar materials to each other may include providing a first component with a first through hole and a second component with a second through hole that is at least partly aligned with the first through hole. A mixture including a first material and a second material may be injected into the aligned through holes of the first component and the second component. The mixture of the first material and the second material may expand in the through holes, e.g., due to a chemical reaction, thereby connecting the first component and the second component together.

Process for manufacturing a bi-material shaft

A process for manufacturing a putter with a bi-material shaft is disclosed herein. The putter comprises a putter head, the bi-material shaft, a mass member and a grip. The bi-material shaft comprises a body with a tip end and a butt end. The body comprises a metal section extending from the tip end to a connection point, and a composite section extending from the butt end to the connection point. The mass member is positioned within an opening at the butt end of the shaft. Mass from the shaft is transferred to the club head and the mass member in the butt end of the shaft.

Devices for application and load bearing and method of using the same

Gecko-like adhesive application devices suited for dynamic applications are disclosed, where the device can be easily applied to target substrates, exhibiting a firm hold, and subsequently released therefrom. Gecko-like adhesive application devices that are suited for sustained holding after easy application (e.g., on vertical or inclined surfaces or ceiling) also are disclosed.
