Self-undercut anchor system
09624770 · 2017-04-18 ·

The self-undercut anchor with carbide tip is designed to create a drill hole and enlarging the lowermost end of said drill hole by means of a carbide tip or cutting portion. The carbide tip or cutting portion is positioned in such a way so as to not obstruct the setting of the anchor by means of the spreading lamellae. Once said lamellae have been positioned properly and forced downward, the self-undercut anchor is set in place.

ANCHOR ASSEMBLY FOR FASTENER
20170102020 · 2017-04-13 ·

An anchor assembly for walls comprises a toggle member and a strap member pivotally mounted together, and a locking member. In a first position thereof, the toggle member is aligned with the strap member for insertion through the wall, whereas in a second position thereof, the toggle member extends behind the wall at an angle relative to the strap member which extends from the toggle member through the hole in the wall. The locking member is adapted to be displaced along the strap member until it engages the wall and to be locked on the strap member to prevent the locking member from displacing away from the toggle member. Therefore, the locking member and the toggle member are connected by the strap member and imprison the wall by abutting respectively the visible and hidden sides thereof. A fastener introduced through the locking member and the wall threadably engages an opening defined in the toggle member.

ANCHOR FOR HOLLOW WALLS

An anchor (910) for mounting to a hollow wall (W) made of friable material comprises a proximal flanged end (918) adapted to be engaged by a rotatable tool (B) to rotate the anchor (910) about a longitudinal axis (A) thereof and to cause is to gradually engage the wall (W). The anchor (910) also includes a distal end (912) adapted to cut through the wall (W) as the anchor (910) is rotated, and a shank (920) extending between the proximal and distal ends (918, 912). The shank (920) includes at least one expandable leg (924) that is in a collapsed position thereof when the anchor (910) is rotated to mount it to the wall (W) and that is located distally beyond a non visible surface of the wall (W) once the anchor (910) has been mounted to the wall and is in a first position thereof. The wall anchor (910) includes an outer thread (922) that securely engages the wall (W). A threaded fastener (B), e.g. a screw, is adapted to be introduced in the anchor (910) and to threadably engage the same distally of the leg (924) such that sufficient rotation of the threaded fastener (B) retracts the distal end (912) towards the proximal end (918) thereby causing the leg (924) to displace to a laterally expanded position thereof and to engage the non visible surface of the wall (W).

FACE-SPLINE DRIVE ELEMENT WITH AXIAL RETAINER MECHANISM

The present invention in one or more embodiments provides a halfshaft assembly, which includes a hub including a hub surface and a hub bore abutting the hub surface, the hub bore being defined by first and second bore-surfaces and a third bore-surface positioned there-between along an axial direction, the first bore-surface being smaller in cross-sectional dimension than the second bore-surface, and the hub face including thereupon female face-splines; and a constant-velocity joint including a joint face and a stem extending from the joint face along the axial direction, the joint face including thereupon male face-splines to engage the female face-splines of the hub at an engagement position, the stem defining thereupon a recess extending radially and spaced apart from the male face-splines. As detailed herein elsewhere, the halfshaft assembly is believed to reduce the occurrence of seal-pinching and spline block.

A panel fastener for removably flush mounting a wall panel to a wood furring. The panel fastener includes a mounting body adapted for being inserted into a complementary opening in the wood furring. A hanger slot is disposed in the mounting body for receiving a hanger member carrying the wall panel. A slot flange is disposed within a portion of the hanger slot and defining a narrowed hanger channel receiving and securing the hanger member. A crush ridge is disposed on a rear side of the slot flange for engaging the hanger member. A slot cap disposed in a rear side of the hanger slot and including a locking arm engaging the hanger member when inserted into the narrowed hanger channel of the slot flange for resisting removal of the hanger member from the narrowed hanger channel.

Threaded fastener hole repair apparatus

A threaded fastener hole repair apparatus for repairing a stripped target screw hole so that the desired screw can once again be secured therein comprises an elongated, conical fastener sleeve having a threaded exterior surface and a substantially hollow, conical interior. The elongated fastener sleeve is made up of ten discrete breakaway portions, defined as a single proximal end section and nine sleeve sections, with each separated by a circumferential score in the fastener sleeve, thereby allowing the fastener sleeve to be resized by snapping off breakaway portions a desired point. The substantially hollow, conical interior of the fastener sleeve includes four elongated flaps which run in a narrowing manner along the wall of the conical interior in the fastener sleeve, providing an additional surface inside the conical interior of the fastener sleeve to mesh with the threads of the screw being inserted into the fastener sleeve.

Expansion Anchor

An expansion anchor is provided, which is generally comprised of a drill rod, cone tip and anchor to create an undercut. In one embodiment, the drill rod is connected to the setting tool while in another embodiment, the cone tip is connected to the setting tool. In both instances, rotation of one or the other engenders a corresponding rotation from the anchor, which forces the cone tip upwards and into the anchor, which thus forces the anchor outwards and sets the expansion anchor. A sectional coloured threading is also provided to allow an operator to determine when the anchor is sufficiently set.
