Fixing pin
A fixing pin having top section and a stem. The stem has an expandable section and a lower element adjacent thereto and the top section comprises a ratchet mechanism. The lower element of the stem is connected to the ratchet mechanism by a flexible connector, such that operation of the ratchet mechanism moves the lower element towards the top section, thereby compressing the expandable section axially and causing it to expand radially.
Flap support breakaway and fail safety configuration
A flap support mounting assembly employs a flap support having at least one laterally-oriented upper coupling and a pair of laterally-oriented lower couplings. A fail-safe pin engages the at least one laterally-oriented upper coupling to an upper rear-spar fitting. A pair of frangible pins engages the lower couplings to a pair of lower rear-spar fittings. The frangible pins are configured to shear and enable the flap support to rotate upwards about the fail-safe pin in response to a load induced on the flap support that creates a moment inducing a sufficient shear force to shear the frangible pins. The fail-safe pin is configured to shear allowing separation of the flap support and associated flap from the wing in a manner that inhibits damage to a rear spar and integral fuel tank in a wing structure.

COATING DEVICE
A coating device for coating a fastener with a coating material. The device includes: a distribution device for distributing the coating material, including at least one distribution nozzle; a holder for holding the fastener; a drive for causing relative movement of the fastener and of the distribution nozzle relative to one another; a controller for controlling the distribution device and able to synchronize the operation thereof in order to apply at least one line of coating material on the fastener.
Electro optical component for fitting into a product wall, product comprising a wall and fitting method
A design is provided for a component and for an opening in a wall of a product which is to receive the component. The component has a barrel for passing through the opening with a set of lugs at the end of the barrel. Each lug has a clamping surface facing a head part of the component, and the region between the clamping surface and the head part forms a clamping zone. The opening is for example circular. A stepped thickness portion of the wall follows an arc from a locally thinnest portion to a locally thickest portion. The steps and/or the lugs are sloped upwardly towards the locally thickest end of the arc. To fit the component, it is inserted through the opening (for example with the lugs deforming inwardly) and then twisted. The twisting engages the lugs with the stepped thickness portion, providing a progressive ratcheted clamping function.
Plug for upper coupler of trailer
A plug for insertion into a through hole of a king pin coupler plate of a trailer includes a body defining two opposite axial directions and having a cylindrical, circular and continuous outer surface defining a perimeter. A plurality of pliable ears extend from the outer surface. The ears are each individually aligned in the axial directions. The ears each have a width that is less than ten percent of a distance around the perimeter of the outer surface of the body.
Structure for retaining fastening element solder
A structure and method for retaining fastening element solder are introduced. The structure includes a fastening element which has a solderable surface and a fastening portion or a hole portion. One end of the hole portion or the fastening portion has a retaining portion. During a soldering heating process, solder flows into or enters the retaining portion to cool down and solidify. The solidified solder is retained in the retaining portion. The fastening element is firmly coupled to a first object because of coordination between the solderable surface and the retaining portion, and the second object is coupled to or removed from the fastening element because of coordination between the fastening portion and the hole portion, so as to couple together and separate the first and second objects repeatedly and quickly.
PART FASTENING STRUCTURE AND MOUNTING TOOL
A part fastening structure fastens a part, using a bolt and a nut. The bolt includes a first spiral groove, a second spiral groove provided on a tip end side of the bolt with respect to the first spiral groove, a slit extending from a tip end of the bolt to the first spiral groove through the second spiral groove, and a loosening suppression groove extending from another end of the second spiral groove to the tip end side. The nut includes: a first nut member including a first pin protruding toward a central axis side and inserted into the first spiral groove; a second nut member including a second pin protruding toward the central axis side and inserted into the second spiral groove; and an urging member disposed between the first and second nut members and that urges the first nut member toward a head portion of the bolt.

Cable mounting clamps
A cable assembly includes a cable and a cable mounting clamp. The cable mounting clamp includes a base removably connectable to a surface. The base includes an outer body which defines an inner channel and a support ramp disposed within the inner channel, the inner channel extending along a longitudinal axis. The cable mounting clamp further includes a roller tube disposed within the inner channel and moveably mounted on the support ramp, the roller tube translatable along the longitudinal axis relative to the support ramp. The cable is inserted through the roller tube and extends through the inner channel, such that the cable is translatable with the roller tube along the longitudinal axis.
