Nut with polygonal section
In order to optimize a nut and a method for the production of a nut, comprising a nut body which is provided or can be provided with an internal thread and has a polygonal section with a polygonal outer contour which has, on the one hand, edge areas and, on the other hand, key faces which are located between the edge areas and extend in key face planes extending in a manner conforming to standards, in such a manner that it has mechanical properties which are as ideal as possible with as low a weight as possible, it is suggested that the nut body have a plurality of recesses which extend into the nut body in the direction of the bore proceeding from the respective key face planes.
Curved-tip screwdriver and screwdriver bit
Various embodiments of a curved-tip screwdriver bit are presented. The bit may include a shank, a body connected with the shank, and a tip disposed at an end of the body. The tip may include curved blades that project from the end of the shaft. A first curved blade may have a first arc shaped cross section. A second curved blade may have a second arc shaped cross section. A radius of the second arc-shaped cross section may be greater than a radius of the first arc-shaped cross section of the first curved blade.

Further disclosures include: Tapered Fastener Assemblies; Tapered Torsional Couplings; Two-Part Tapered Nut Assemblies; Two-Part Tapered Thread Nut Assemblies; HYTORC® Anti-Loosening Z® Washers, Nuts and SMARTSTUDS; and any combinations thereof.
REACTION WASHER-BASED ACTUATION-REACTION TORQUE TRANSFER
A reaction washer is optimized for lock-on, optional stiction ring and for a predetermined indentation depth of bidirectional serrations for secure reaction torque transfer during initial and full actuation of respective nut or bolt heads resting on it. An optional lock-on ring embedded around the reaction socket is ergonomically actuated to latch on and off underneath the reaction washer. Axial offset of the peak stress areas away from the actuation socket edges provides for reduced actuation socket diameter and consequently for the entire tool and system remaining substantially within radial assembly limits established for prior art actuation sockets alone. A coupling unit is attached to and tightened on a power torque wrench via a clamp tool utilizing the power wrench's own torque. A hand hold groove and a lock able snap release button offset from the coupling castle snap connection contribute to safe and ergonomic operation and system peak performance.
Air management of honeycomb composite inserts
A fastener assembly includes a base which defines a bore which extends through the base. The fastener assembly further includes a receptacle wherein the receptacle includes a sidewall wherein the sidewall defines a channel which extends through the receptacle. The channel extends from a first opening defined by the sidewall to a second opening defined by the sidewall and the sidewall is connected to the base wherein the second opening aligns with the bore of the base. The sidewall of the receptacle defines a vent opening which extends through the sidewall. The receptacle and the base define a flow path through the vent opening of the sidewall, through the channel of the receptacle, through the second opening of the sidewall of the receptacle and through the bore of the base.

Securement System and Method
A system and method for securing an item. Custom connectors which only couple to a custom converter can secure an item, deter its theft, and prevent unauthorized access. The custom connectors have a custom head which has a custom void. The custom void has a unique shape which matches and couples with a custom converter. A custom converter allows the custom connector to be manipulated. If desired, subsequently, when the item is in a more secure location, conventional screws can replace the item.
Tapered lobular driver and fastener
A fastener system includes a fastener and a driver, each of which have three alternating lobes and troughs that define the drive surfaces. Each alternating lobes and troughs is defined by an outer radius portion, a drive side transition, an inner transition radius, and a reverse drive portion. The fastener recess and the driver each also have a side wall defined by the outer transition radius that tapers at a taper angle relative to a rotational axis. The fastener side wall may taper at about 60°. The driver side wall may taper at about 60°. Alternatively, the driver side wall may taper at an angle at least 10° less than the taper angle of the recess side wall, such as 42°. The drive side transition defines a drive angle, which may be between 0° and 5°.
Locking thumb nut
A locking thumb nut includes a thumb nut base and a lock plate. The lock plate can be fastened to the thumb nut base with fasteners so that the lock plate can be removed from the thumb nut base and replaced with a new lock plate when the lock plate becomes worn. The thumb nut base is elongated to provide for ease of grip by the user's fingers to turn the nut and tighten it along a threaded shank of a screw. The lock plate engages the threads of the screw to prevent unintentional backing out of the thumb nut.
BUS BAR AND WIRE HARNESS
A bus bar that includes a main body having a plate shape for arranging a terminal to be electrically connected to the bus bar; and an upright provided at a side in a widthwise direction of the main body, wherein: the main body has an open hole into which a shaft of a bolt is to be inserted, and the upright has an inner surface with which a head of the bolt can come into contact in a rotational direction.
