Modular furniture unit having power distribution
A modular furniture unit can be configured to provide power distribution in conjunction with other furniture features. Embodiments of furniture arrangements may utilize one or more modular furniture units to provide one or more of such features (e.g. storage, seating, privacy, work surface, lighting, etc.). In some embodiments, the modular furniture unit includes an elongated upper member having an upper slot that has a first end and a second end opposite its first end. At least one leg is attached to the first end and at least one leg is attached to the second end. The elongated upper member may have a channel through which power cabling passes and outlets that are connected to such cabling. Different elements can be connected to the upper member via the upper slot or a downward facing opening of the upper member and/or to the legs to provide different furniture arrangements.
Filter assembly for use with a wide-mouth fermentation carboy
The disclosure concerns a filter assembly adapted for use with a wide mouth carboy in the field of home brewing, and home brewing kits comprising the same. The filter assembly generally includes a carboy lid adapted to engage a fermentation carboy, a mesh filter tube extending from a bottom side of the carboy lid, wherein through an aperture of the lid and into the volume within the mesh filter tube is defined a mesh cavity. Materials can be introduced into the mesh cavity for brewing applications. An agitation probe forms part of the home brewing kit and is used for: (i) agitating the materials within the mesh cavity during a brewing process; (ii) pressing the materials to extract fluids therefrom; or (iii) a combination thereof.
Sorting, storage, and workspace unit for small items
A sorting and storage unit includes a port panel with vertically arranged ports, wherein each port is horizontally offset from each of the adjacent ports. Bins, each having a top opening, fit into the ports of the port panel. Each bin is held within a port with at least a portion of the top opening of the bin horizontally offset from each bin in an adjacent port. A table top has a substantially flat upper surface and a lower surface. The table top is supported by the port panel. The table top includes apertures. Each aperture is aligned vertically above the offset portion of only one of the bins thereby creating a plurality of vertical, gravity-fed drop paths from the flat upper surface of the table top to the bins.
Fail-safe release mechanism for use with patient positioning support apparati
A fail-safe release mechanism for use with patient positioning support apparati having a base structure and a patient support structure, to prevent collapse of the patient support during disconnection of the patient support structure from the base structure.
Table with nesting table top
A table may be sized and configured to nest with another table to reduce a height of a plurality of stacked tables in a nested configuration. The table may include a nesting portion formed in an upper surface and sidewall of the table top. The table may also include a frame with one or more engaging portions sized and configured to be disposed in the nesting portion of an adjacent table when the tables are nested together. In addition, the table top may include a compression edge sized and configured to be disposed in a nesting portion of an adjacent table when the tables are nested together. The compression edge and engaging portions may be sized and configured to be simultaneously disposed in the nesting portion of the adjacent table when the table is nested with the adjacent table.
Fail-safe release mechanism for use with patient positioning support apparati
A fail-safe release mechanism for use with patient positioning support apparati having a base structure and a patient support structure, to prevent collapse of the patient support during disconnection of the patient support structure from the base structure.
Table and accessory unit assembly and method of docking accessory unit to table
A table and accessory unit assembly includes a height-adjustable table, a freestanding accessory unit and a docking mechanism. The height-adjustable table and freestanding accessory unit are supported on a surface. The height-adjustable table includes a tabletop and a height-adjusting mechanism that is configured to move the tabletop relative to the surface. The docking mechanism is configured to couple the freestanding accessory unit to the height-adjustable table. When the freestanding accessory unit is coupled to the height-adjustable table, the freestanding accessory unit moves relative to the surface as the tabletop moves relative to the surface.
MECHANICAL LOCKING SYSTEM FOR BUILDING PANELS
Panels are shown which are provided with a mechanical locking system allowing perpendicular connection with a snap action. A set of panels including a first and a second panel, an edge of the second panel is insertable into a groove of the first panel, when the panels are arranged essential perpendicular to each other, to obtain a mechanical connection between the first and the second panel, when the second panel is displaced essentially perpendicularly to the first panel.
Locking member for a table leg
A table may be sized and configured to nest with an adjacent table to reduce a height of a plurality of stacked tables in a nested configuration. The table may include a table top with a round or circular configuration and the table top may have a receiving portion, a downwardly extending lip, a contact surface and an engaging portion. The contact surface may have a ring-shaped configuration and be sized and configured to contact an upper surface of a table top of an adjacent table when the table is nested with the adjacent table. The engaging portion may also have a ring-shaped configuration and may be sized and configured to be disposed in a receiving portion of a table top of the adjacent table when the table is nested with the adjacent table.
Corrugated fiberboard constructions
Among other things, a piece of furniture is formed from three separate precut pieces of flat triple wall cardboard. A first one of the pieces has a bottom edge to rest on a floor with the first piece rising vertically from the bottom edge and has at least one slot at an upper edge of the first piece. A second one of the pieces has a bottom edge to rest on the floor with the second piece rising from the bottom edge and having at least one slot at an upper edge of the second piece. A third one of the pieces has a crease across the piece and at least two slots along at least one edge that is parallel to the fold. The piece of furniture is formed by mating the one slot in the first piece with one of the slots of the third piece, folding the third piece of cardboard at the crease, and mating the one slot in the second piece with another one of the slots of the third piece, with the third piece folded along the crease.
