QUICK-RELEASE ENGAGEMENT DEVICE
A quick-release engagement device for a female threaded member includes a tubular member and an actuating unit. The tubular member includes a contractible portion which has a male threaded segment and an actuated segment, and which is divided into a plurality of contractible sectors by a plurality of slits. The actuating unit is configured to press the actuated segment to permit the contractible sectors to deform synchronously from an expanded state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be quickly sleeved on or removed from the male threaded segment, to a contracted state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be in threaded engagement with the male threaded segment.
WIRE ROD FOR USE IN BOLTS THAT HAS EXCELLENT ACID PICKLING PROPERTIES AND RESISTANCE TO DELAYED FRACTURE AFTER QUENCHING AND TEMPERING, AND BOLT
To provide a wire rod for bolts that has excellent acid pickling properties and the resistance to delayed fracture after quenching and tempering, and a bolt using the same. Disclosed is a wire rod for bolts that has excellent acid pickling properties and resistance to delayed fracture, including, in percent by mass: C: 0.3 to 0.6%; Si: 1.0 to 3.0%; Mn: 0.1 to 1.5%; P: more than 0% and 0.020% or less; S: more than 0% and 0.020% or less; Cr: 0.3 to 1.5%; Al: 0.02 to 0.10%; and N: 0.001 to 0.020%, with the balance being iron and inevitable impurities, wherein in a d 1/4 position of the wire rod, where d is a diameter of the wire rod, a ferrite area ratio is in a range of 10 to 40%, with the remaining microstructure being bainite, pearlite and an inevitably formed microstructure, and a C content in a position at a depth of 0.1 mm from a surface layer of the wire rod is in a range of 50 to 100% of a C content in a base material.
Toilet fastener assembly and method of use
An adjustable-length toilet fastener assembly and method for use wherein the constituent components are cooperatively configured to provide height adjustability without cutting or breaking parts of the assembly for various installation environments and floor configurations when securing a toilet to an underlying support such as a closet collar or other mounting flange. In one embodiment, a tightening tool provided as part of the subject assembly is engageable with and concealed by a low-profile decorative cap.

MODULAR LOCKING PIN
An industrial or residential modular locking pin which captures and retains items with optional adjustable pressure prior to tightening. An elongate body carries a plurality of locking balls that are selectively urged radially outwardly to extend past an outer surface of the pin to retain a mounting aperture of a workpiece. Manual and automatically actuated configurations are disclosed.
Low energy screws for wood and similar materials
A low energy wood screw that may be inserted quickly and using less energy than conventional screws. In various embodiments, the screw may include a countersunk head having a recess for accommodating a driving tool, a tapered neck, a plurality of crown ribs extending over the head and neck, a lubricating coating, main threads with a large thread lead, and lower threads having an asymmetrical profile and extending onto a gimlet point.
Bolt
The bolt of the present invention can reliably peel coating even when fastened with a low torque, and can secure sufficient conductivity. A coating peeling part for peeling coating is formed at a tip end of an axis part in which a regular screw part is formed. The coating peeling part includes crushing parts having a trapezoidal top part and having a flank which is projected at a different angle with respect to the flank of the regular screw part; and a protruding part which is arranged adjacent to the crushing parts and whose top part projects beyond the outer diameter of the regular screw part.
Method of producing an assembly for use in a fibre reinforced structural element
A method of producing an assembly for use in a structural element of a fiber-reinforced material includes providing a core element including an inner core and a circumferential cover, the core element having an end part; producing a subassembly by receiving and centering the end part of the core element into a conforming end recess of a bolt fixture; fixing the bolt fixture to the end part of the core element in the subassembly by circumferentially covering the subassembly with a casing formed of cured fiber-reinforced resin; and machining the subassembly circumferentially covered within the casing.

FASTENING ELEMENT AND METHOD
The invention relates to a fastening element, comprising an insertion segment for inserting into a bore, having a self-tapping threaded segment having an external thread for screwing and tapping into the bore on a fastening object, and comprising a mounting segment for arranging outside of the bore, having an interface geometry for applying a torque to the fastening wherein it should be possible to fix a fixing part to the fastening element in a simple manner. This aim is achieved in that the mounting segment is additionally provided with a fixing device for indirectly or directly, in particular interlockingly and/or frictionally, fixing a fixing part on the mounting
