Polyaxial locking interface
10024355 · 2018-07-17 · ·

An interlocking interface retains a screw head in a socket to prevent migration of the screw head out of the socket, or to lock the screw head in the socket. The interlocking interface may retain or lock the screw at various polyaxial angles with respect to the socket. The screw head includes external corrugations. The socket includes an internal corrugated structure which interlocks with the external corrugations of the screw head when the screw is at various polyaxial angles with respect to the socket. A counterbore may be adjacent either or both ends of the socket.

Locking device for a threaded fastener

A locking device for a component having at least one and preferably two threaded fasteners is provided. The device includes a first clamping section configured to be secured around a first threaded fastener, and a second clamping section at a spaced location from the first clamping section arranged to be secured around a further element relative to which the first fastener is rotational. The second element may be a second threaded fastener, or a fixed feature such as the body of a pipe coupling. A bridging element is also provided that connects the two clamping sections and prevents rotation of the first and second clamping sections relative to each other. The clamping sections are configured to surround, compress and/or deform against the circumferential surface of a part of the fastener, which may be a nut or a bolt head, such that the clamping section is rotationally fixed relative to the fastener.

STRUCTURE OF SCREW
20180073547 · 2018-03-15 ·

A screw includes a screw cap and a shank extending downward from the screw cap. The shank has an outer circumferential surface on which a thread is formed. The shank has a lower end forming a tip section. The screw cap is extended downward to form a conic section. The conic section is provided thereon with a reverse prevention mechanism, which is constructed to include at least one step structure. After the screw is screwed into a workpiece, in an attempt to screw the screw out of the workpiece, the reverse prevention mechanism providing a blocking and resisting effect to prevent the screw from being readily screwed out of the workpiece and thus, a reverse prevention effect of the screw can be enhanced to thereby improve overall performance of use of the screw.

High temperature thread locking compound

According to the present disclosure, a method for securing a threaded fastener in a threaded hole includes directly applying a locking compound to at least a portion of threads to be mated on either the threaded fastener or the threaded hole. The locking compound includes a substantially pure, non-chromated aluminum pigmented compound suspended in a water-based inorganic binder with temperature resistance in excess of 900 degrees Fahrenheit (about 482 degrees Celsius). The threaded fastener is threaded into the threaded hole after applying the locking compound on the threads to be mated.
