Bolt compression limiter
A bolt compression limiter includes a Belleville disc that applies a load to a flange of a bolt assembly and a component that applies a load to a limiter positioned within the flange, the limiter being shy of the top surface of the flange. The load applied to the flange is a first proportion and the load applied to the limiter is a second proportion of the total load applied when a bolt of the bolt assembly is tightened.
Bolt Retainer Clip
A bolt retainer clip for positioning a fastener and maintaining its alignment within a vehicle body mount. The bolt retainer clip includes a retainer body that has a longitudinal axis, an inside surface, and an outside surface. The inside surface defines a bolt receiving aperture in the retainer body. A plurality of fingers extend into the bolt receiving aperture from the inside surface of the retainer body. A portion of each finger is curved, creating a line contact between the fastener and each finger at a location that is spaced from a terminal end of the finger. Each line contact runs parallel to the longitudinal axis and therefore limits gimbaling movements of the fastener relative to the retainer body.
WHEEL FASTENER ALARM
A wheel fastener alarm assembly is provided having a fastener body with a first portion defining a wrenching surface and a cavity, and a second portion with a threaded portion to attach and detach from a wheel of a vehicle. A sensor array is disposed in the cavity of fastener body to detect an attribute of the fastener body and generate an output signal based on the attribute of the fastener body. An antenna connected to the sensor array to transmit the signal to a remote location. A cap is secured to the first portion of the fastener body and covers the wrenching surface and the cavity opening to define a capped fastener body.
Fastener element bonded to another fastener element
An assembly is provided that includes a first fastener element and a second fastener element. The first fastener element is secured to the second fastener element with bonding material. The first fastener element may be a spacer such as a washer. The second fastener element may be a fastener or a washer.
FIXTURE SET
A fixture set for fixing an accessory to a wall includes a bolt; a splitter having a sleeve portion and a wedge portion; and an a metal anchor configured to be screwed to the bolt and having radially expandable arms configured to slide along surfaces of the wedge portion when the anchor is urged to slide in a first direction. The arms have a free end configured to lock the anchor against the wall upon radial expansion of the arms. The splitter has a catch situated entirely within minimum bounding cylinder of the sleeve portion. The free end of a respective arm is barbed and configured to be caught in the catch when the anchor is urged to slide in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, after having slid the anchor onto the splitter in the first direction with the barbed free end having passed the catch.
FASTENER COVER FOR CAPTIVE EFFECT
A hollow cover is provided for retaining a fastener captive on a removable part. The cover has an internal surface tapering from a first open end to a second open end. The first open end is sized to permit positioning of the fastener inside the hollow cover. The second open end is sized to block passage of the fastener. The second open end defining a tool opening configured to receive a tool for engagement with the fastener inside the hollow cover.
Screw-retaining device and screw-retaining kit
The present disclosure relates to a screw-retaining device (1) comprising a connecting element (2) which in turn comprises a first end part (3), a second end part (4) and an intermediate part (5) that connects the end parts (3, 4). The first end part (3) comprises an at least mainly circumferentially running part (6) that at least partly encompasses a retaining aperture (7) that is arranged to engage the threads (9) of a screw (100), and the second end part (4) is attached to an object (8). The screw-retaining device (1) further comprises a washer part (20) with a first and second washer portion (21, 22), having a corresponding first and second washer aperture (23, 24). The washer portions (20, 22) are connected and spaced apart by a gap (26), and the washer apertures (23, 24) admit passage of a screw stem (19). The first end part (3) is arranged to be positioned in the gap (26) before a screw (100) that is intended to be retained is mounted to the screw-retaining device (1) via the retaining aperture (7) and the washer apertures (23, 24). The present disclosure also relates to a screw-retaining kit.

Anti-tampering device
Disclosed is an anti-tampering device including a threaded element having a thread defining a screwing axis and an engaging surface for engagement with a driving tool, and a protection body for preventing the driving tool from engaging the engaging surface. The protection body is coupled to the threaded element so that they are mutually blocked in a direction parallel to the screwing axis and free to spin around the screwing axis.
Captive fastener
A captive fastener comprising a head, a neck, and a threaded shaft, and one or more spring loaded pins disposed within respective cavities of the shaft along at least first and second radial directions. Each spring loaded pin is located in a chamber of the shaft with an annular rim on at a proximal end of the pin that prevents the pin completely passing through an aperture and out the chamber. The distal end of the pin projects through the aperture and out of the shaft when the spring is not compressed. That is, the spring biases the pin outward such that a distal portion of the pin projects through the hole, but the spring can collapse to allow the fastener to pass through a fitted opening sized to receive the shaft of the fastener before the pin expands outward.
