A fiber-reinforced resin member is provided in which a non-conductive sleeve and first and second non-conductive sheets are disposed between a metal fastening member and CFRP laminate, electrical continuity between the metal fastening member and the CFRP laminate is cut off, and corrosion of the metal fastening member due to galvanic corrosion is prevented. A first annular space is formed between a first flange portion of a first member and the first non-conductive sheet, a second annular space is formed between a second flange portion of a second member and the second non-conductive sheet. Therefore, even if frayed carbon fiber sticks out from a gap between the non-conductive sleeve and the first and second non-conductive sheets, due to the first and second annular spaces being formed therein, it is possible to prevent the sticking-out carbon fiber from contacting the first and second members and providing electrical continuity.

A self-sealing fastener for installation of roofing materials for creating a substantially watertight seal around fastener penetrations where roofing materials or panels are affixed to an underlying roof deck by the fasteners. Also disclosed is a method for installing the self-sealing fastener for attachment of roofing materials to an underlying roof deck with the penetrations areas or holes created by the fasteners being substantially sealed against water penetration.

According to the method, a curable sealant is applied to a metal surface of a first article, and the curable sealant and first article are stored under conditions to maintain the curable sealant in an at least partially uncured state. A fastener configured to catch the edges of a plurality of wallboards with the use of one anchoring element is disclosed. The fastener comprises a convex plate of circular shape having an anchoring hole, which is configured to allow the insertion of an anchoring element, located at the center of the convex plate. The method for using such a fastener comprises placing the fastener at a location where the surface of the convex plate covers a plurality of edges of a plurality of wallboards; inserting an anchoring element (e.g., a screw or nail) through the anchoring hole so that the anchoring element anchors onto a support element; upon completion of insertion of an anchoring element, the surface of the convex plate will be essentially flat and flush with the surface of the plurality of hoards.

Disclosed are systems and methods for attaching interior furnishings in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a system can include an anchor having a rivet nut, a bolt for engaging the rivet nut, and a railing that can be fastened to the anchor with the bolt. In certain embodiments, the anchor can include a main plate having a rivet nut, a backer plate having press nuts, and screws suitably configured to engage the press nuts and facilitate a movement of the backer plate towards the main plate. In some embodiments, the anchor is configured to fit into and removably attach to a factory cutout of a wall of the vehicle.
