An adjustable height platform is disclosed. The example adjustable height platform provides a first stage of uprights coupled to a lower platform and a second stage of uprights coupled to a lower platform. The first and second stage are coupled by a bracket with three pivot points. A first lower upright and a first upper upright couple to distinct pivot points on the bracket and a second lower upright and second upper upright couple to a common pivot point on the bracket. A first-to-second stage transfer mechanism transfer rotation force from the first stage of uprights to the second stage of uprights. The upper platform includes a height fixing mechanism release to interface with a height fixing mechanism coupled to the first upper upright to fix the height of the adjustable height platform.

CONFIGURATION TECHNIQUES FOR AN APPLIANCE WITH CHANGEABLE COMPONENTS

The present disclosure relates to a workstation and a technique to automatically configure the workstation. The workstation can be used to perform various tasks including but not limited to medication delivery, collection of medical records, patient care, manufacturing operations, and others. The workstation can be configured by the user depending on the tasks to be performed using the workstation. Various sensors (e.g., hall effect sensors, optical sensors, or the like) can be coupled to the workstation, and sensor operators (e.g., magnets, color coded strips, or the like) can be coupled to the modules. By aligning sensor operators with sensors when modules are coupled to the workstation, a configuration (e.g., size, shape, location, or the like) of modules can be automatically detected by the workstation controller. The controller of the workstation can then adapt to perform certain tasks (e.g., lock/unlock drawers, or the like) depending on the detected configuration of modules.

Electrically height-adjustable table (10) comprising: an electrically height-adjustable base frame (14), a tabletop (12) which is arranged at or on the base frame (14), a drive device for adjusting the height of the base frame (14)/the tabletop (12), wherein the drive device is fastened to the base frame (14) or to the tabletop (12) and comprises at least one electric motor, a control device (70) and an operating device for operating the control device (70), and a sensor device (72) for detecting an initial absolute inclination of the tabletop (12) upon receiving an input of a movement command via the operating device and for detecting a subsequent absolute inclination and a subsequent temporal inclination change of the tabletop (12) during the movement of the tabletop (12) up or down according to the movement command, wherein the sensor device (72) comprises a three-axis acceleration sensor (74) for determining the absolute inclination of the tabletop (12) and a three-axis gyroscope (73), preferably integrally therewith, for determining the temporal inclination change of the tabletop (12).
