RELEASE UNIT FOR A MACHINE TOOL SPINDLE
A release unit for a machine tool spindle, in particular motor spindle, for releasing a tool clamp, wherein the release unit comprises at least one adjustment element which can be linearly adjusted along an adjustment path for actuating the tool clamp, which release unit reduces the structural and/or economic complexity. This is achieved according to the invention in that the release unit is constructed as an electric motor which comprises an electromagnetic drive system having a hollow-cylindrical rotor shaft which rotates about a rotation axis, in that the linearly adjustable adjustment element is constructed as a spindle element of a conversion unit for converting the rotation of the electric motor into a linear adjustment and in that the rotor shaft is constructed as a spindle nut of the conversion unit which rotates about the rotation axis.
Directional stiffness bearing sleeve assembly for rotor systems
A bearing sleeve assembly includes a rigid inner element having a cylindrical inner diameter bore and an outer surface that is non-cylindrical. Also included is a rigid outer element spaced radially outwardly from the rigid inner element, the rigid outer element comprising a cylindrical member with a uniform cross-section that forms a ring with an inner-diameter surface and an outer-diameter surface, the outer element's inner-diameter surface and the non-cylindrical outer surface of the inner element defining a non-uniform annulus therebetween. Further included is an elastomeric core disposed between the rigid inner element and the rigid outer element within the non-uniform annulus, the elastomeric core having a first thickness at a first location and a second thickness at a second location, the first thickness being greater than the second thickness.

Valve device
A surface of a bearing member on a flow passage forming chamber-side is disposed to be exposed to the chamber. The bearing member includes a contact part, with which a side surface of a butterfly valve that is opposed to the bearing member is in contact, on at least a part of the surface of the bearing member on the chamber-side. The bearing member is a radial ball bearing and includes an outer bearing ring that is fitted to an inner periphery of a shaft hole, so that its axial displacement relative to a body is restricted, an inner bearing ring that is fitted on an outer periphery of a rotation shaft radially inward of the outer bearing ring, and a rolling element disposed between the outer bearing ring and the inner bearing ring. The contact part is provided on a surface of the inner bearing ring on the chamber-side.
OPERATING DEVICE AND ACOUSTIC DEVICE
An operating device includes: an operating member operable by a user; a rotation shaft having an end portion provided with the operating member; a first bearing supporting a first portion of the rotation shaft; and a second bearing supporting a second portion of the rotation shaft. The second portion is located nearer to the operating member than the first portion in an axial direction of the rotation shaft.
Furniture glide and actuating mechanism
An actuating mechanism useful for retracting and extending furniture glides allows a minor lifting movement to actuate the caster/glide from a stored position to an extended, operative position. The same motion permits the caster/glide to be retracted to its stored position.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING A BEARING ON A ROLL NECK AND FOR REMOVING THE BEARING FROM THE ROLL NECK
The invention relates to a device and a method for mounting a bearing 200 on a roll neck and for removing the bearing from the roll neck of a roll. Known devices of this type have a first and a second piston/cylinder unit. They also have a stop ring 130, fixed in the axial direction A at the end of the roll neck 320 remote from the body, which actsas a stop for the inner piston 110 of the first piston/cylinder unit. In addition, the known devices have a nut 150 which can be screwed onto an external thread of the inner piston to secure the bearing 200 in the axial direction, in particular during a rolling operation. As an alternative to the known prior art, the present invention provides that an annular cylinder 120 serves both as a cylinder for the first piston/cylinder unit and as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit. For its function as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit, said annular cylinder is covered to a certain ex ent on its side remote from the body by an annular cylinder cover 122. The cylinder cover 122 serves, together with an outer flange 142 of an outer piston 140, to axially delimit a removal pressure chamber 2 of the second piston/cylinder unit.
Support structure for crankshaft
A support structure for a crankshaft includes a crankshaft that is rotatably supported on a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine and has an end portion protruding from the cylinder block, a sprocket that is attached on the end portion protruding from the cylinder block and is connected to a cam shaft, a pulley that is attached on the end portion on an opposite side from the sprocket with respect to the cylinder block and is connected to an auxiliary apparatus, and an end bearing that rotatably supports the end portion relative to the cylinder block and is provided on the end portion between the sprocket and the pulley.
AIR BEARING HEAT EXCHANGER
The various technologies presented herein relate to fabrication and operation of a heat exchanger that is configured to extract heat from an underlying substrate. Heat can be extracted by way of an air gap formed between an impeller and a baseplate. By utilizing a pump to create an initial air gap that is further maintained by rotation of the impeller relative to the baseplate, a spring can be utilized that can apply a force of greater magnitude to the impeller than is used in a conventional approach, thus enabling the weight of the impeller to be negligible with respect to a width of the air gap, thereby conferring the desirable feature of orientation independence with respect to gravity with no performance degradation.
