System to provide reliable flow of low temperature cooling air to an antifriction bearing buried inside a rotating machine
A rotating machine includes a housing and a first bearing received in the housing. The rotating machine also includes a shaft supported by the first bearing. The shaft defines a central axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The rotating machine also includes at least one duct radially interior to the outer diameter of the shaft. The duct includes an inlet port and a radial outlet port that are in fluid communication with one another. The inlet port is configured to receive air and the radial outlet port is configured to discharge the air. The rotating machine also includes an air mover longitudinally disposed between the first bearing and the inlet port of the duct. The air mover creates an area of air pressure at the radial outlet port that is less than an air pressure at the inlet port.
SLIDING BEARING, BEARING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
To provide a non-oil-impregnated sliding bearing having superior low friction capable of suppressing an increase of a shaft temperature in a continuous use, and a bearing apparatus and an image forming apparatus provided with the sliding bearing. Sliding bearings 5a to 5c support rotation shafts on cylinder inner surface in a rotatable manner. Each of the sliding bearings 5a to 5c is formed of a molded member of a non-oil-impregnated resin composition that does not contain oil. The resin composition contains an injection-moldable ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin as a base resin, a polytetrafluoroethylene resin as an additive, and an acicular inorganic filler having Mohs hardness of 3 or less. The resin composition contains 65 vol % or more of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin, 5-25 vol % of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and 1-20 vol % of the acicular inorganic filler, based on the whole of the resin composition.
Cryostat and associated maglev transport vehicle and system
A cryostat intended to be integrated into a maglev transport system, the cryostat comprising at least one superconductive element and a jacket inside which each superconductive element is placed. The cryostat is suitable for maintaining each superconductive element at the desired temperature and the jacket extending along a longitudinal axis (X). The length of each superconductive element along the longitudinal axis (X) is comprised between 30% and 100% of the length of the jacket, and each superconductive element is a bulk element made of superconductor material.
Bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller
A bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller, in particular a strand-guiding roller in a strandguiding device. The bearing block is designed as a solid casting having an integrated internal coolant channel. The coolant channel has an inlet and an outlet for coolant. In order to enable an improvement in the product quality of the cast slabs, the bearing block has a rotational speed sensor for sensing the rotational speed of the roller.
Guide Rail with Fastening Holes and Heat Sink
A guide rail, for use with a guide carriage having at least one row of rolling elements, extends along a longitudinal axis and has at least one running surface for the rolling elements, a separate heat sink, and a plurality of first through holes. The running surface is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis. The heat sink extends along the longitudinal axis and lies against the guide rail. At least sections of the heat sink delimit a first and a second cooling channel that each extend along the longitudinal axis. The first through holes are distributed along the longitudinal axis and are configured to receive screw-bolts. The heat sink has a plurality of second through holes, each aligning with and continuing an associated first through hole. The first and second cooling channels are located on opposite sides of the plurality of second through holes.
Isolators for motors
A motor for driving a fan in a heating and/or cooling system includes a motor body, a motor cover, and an isolator. The isolator damps vibrations passed from the motor body to the motor cover. The isolator includes two isolating elements connected by a bridge. At least one of the two isolating elements includes at least two corners in a cross-sectional view.
Fluid bearing assembly
A bearing assembly including a body defining an outer surface, an inner surface, and an aft surface is generally provided. A first inlet opening is defined through the outer surface in fluid communication with a first internal passage defined by a first internal wall. The first internal passage is in fluid communication with a first outlet opening defined through the inner surface. A second inlet opening is defined through the inner surface in fluid communication with a second internal passage defined by a second internal wall. The second internal passage is in fluid communication with a second outlet opening defined through the aft surface.
Valve body, electronic control throttle body, motor-driven throttle body, and valve device
An object is to provide a type of device capable of properly cooling a bearing of a throttle body even under a condition that the throttle body receives heat of high-temperature intake air or exhaust gas. In the present invention, an engine coolant passage that guides a coolant of an engine is provided integrally with a member fixing a bearing to be adjacent to a circumferential wall of the bearing of the member fixing the bearing, which supports a throttle shaft, and heat transferred from the bearing (or likely to be transferred to the bearing) via the member fixing the bearing is carried away to the outside of a throttle body by the engine coolant.
