BEARING HOUSING FOR A TURBOMACHINE, AND TURBOMACHINE HAVING A BEARING HOUSING
A bearing housing for a flow machine includes a bearing axis, a bearing chamber, a lubricant chamber and internal cooling fins. The bearing chamber is configured to receive a bearing. The lubricant chamber is configured to receive a lubricant. The lubricant chamber and the bearing chamber are in flow communication via an opening. The lubricant chamber includes a wall portion configured to dissipate heat to the environment, and the wall portion has an inner surface directed towards the lubricant chamber and an outer surface directed towards the environment. The internal cooling fins are arranged at a part of the inner surface.
Self contained bearing box cooling system
An oil cooling system for a motorized pump is described. The motorized pump includes an oil sump and oil flow path, the oil sump and oil flow path containing oil to lubricate and remove heat from a bearing assembly and drive shaft. A motor coupling housing attached to a bearing box holding the bearing assembly includes an interior space that houses an oil cooling system. The oil cooling system includes a finned cooling tube connected to an outlet of an oil flow path in the bearing box. A fan is connected to the drive shaft of the motorized pump, and is situated to force air over the cooling tube and plurality of fins such that hot oil received by the cooling system is cooled and the cooled oil is returned to the oil flow path in the bearing box.

Refrigerant Lubricated Bearings
A cooling system and methods of employing the same includes a refrigerant cycle for cycling refrigerant from a compressor to a condenser and from the condenser an evaporator, and a lubrication cycle having at least one lubricating refrigerant supply line for providing refrigerant as lubricant to a bearing assembly. The lubricating refrigerant supply line including one or more filters, such as particle filters, acid filters, or desiccant filters.
Bearing race cooling
A cooling architecture can include a longitudinally extending radially inner shaft, a radially outer support, and a bearing assembly. The longitudinally extending radially inner shaft can include an inner race. The inner race can define an inner circumferential chamber configured to carry an inner working fluid. The radially outer support can include an outer race. The bearing assembly can include a plurality of roller bearings disposed radially between the inner race and the outer race. The bearing assembly can be configured to radially align the inner shaft with respect to the outer support.
Bearing system with a rotary bush and turbomachine
The bearing system includes a fluid bearing, a shaft with a solid portion, and a bush located around the solid portion and in front of pad or pads of the fluid bearing; the bush includes a hollow portion and a plurality of supporting elements that fix the hollow portion of the bush to the solid portion of the shaft.
Gyroscopic boat roll stabilizer with bearing cooling
A gyroscopic roll stabilizer includes an enclosure, a flywheel assembly, a bearing, a motor, and a bearing cooling circuit. The enclosure is mounted to a gimbal for rotation about a gimbal axis and configured to maintain a below-ambient pressure. The flywheel assembly includes a flywheel and flywheel shaft. The bearing rotatably mounts the flywheel assembly inside the enclosure for rotation about a flywheel axis. The bearing has an inner race and an outer race. The inner race is affixed to the flywheel shaft, and the outer race is held rotationally fixed relative to the enclosure. The motor is operative to rotate the flywheel assembly.
