20210246943 · 2021-08-12 · ·

Provided is a sensor mounting member and a sensor mounting method for easily fixing a sensor of a type among various types to a track rail of a rolling guide device in one operation. The sensor mounting member includes: a sensor holding portion configured to cover the sensor so as to hold the sensor between a top surface of the track rail and the sensor holding portion; and a pair of leg portions, which are formed at both ends of the sensor holding portion, respectively, and are configured to sandwich the track rail from both sides in a width direction of the track rail while being elastically deformed. Further, along with sandwiching of the track rail by the pair of leg portions, the sensor holding portion presses the sensor onto the top surface of the track rail.

A bearing provides a first ring and a second ring capable of rotating concentrically relative to one another. At least one tapered groove is formed on a first axial cylindrical surface of the second ring and oriented towards the first ring. The bearing further provides at least one first distance sensor mounted on the first ring and facing a tapered wall of the tapered groove of the second ring that is inclined with respect to the axis of the bearing, a longitudinal axis of the first distance sensor being perpendicular to the axis, and at least one second distance sensor mounted on the first ring and distinct from the first distance sensor. The second distance sensor radially faces a second axial cylindrical surface of the second ring.

A thrust bearing arrangement includes a top plate extending about a rotation axis, a thrust plate extending about the rotation axis and axially offset from the top foil plate, and a bump plate. The thrust plate is orthogonal relative to the rotation axis. The bump foil plate extends about the rotation axis, is axially offset from the thrust plate, and has an annular portion and two or more bump plate foil portions. The annular portion of the bump plate is circumferentially interrupted by the bump plate foil portions of the bump plate. Rotating machines and methods of making thrust bearing arrangements for rotating machines are also described.

A rolling bearing (1) has an outer ring (3) and an inner ring (2) that can rotate in relation to the outer ring (3). A sensor (8) is arranged on the outer ring (3) and a master ring (13) is arranged on the inner ring (2). The master ring (13) can be detected by the sensor (8). The master ring (13) has an electrically conductive section (15), and a contact element (10) fixed on the outer ring (3) bears against the electrically conductive section (15) of the master ring (13).

Method of using a tolerance ring

A tolerance ring has a hollow band with outwardly extending corrugated protrusions forming waves that engage an inner surface of a bore of a housing. At one end of the tolerance ring is an inwardly flared guide surface extending axially and radially from the band. The guide surface acts as a tapered entrance to assist the insertion of a shaft into the hollow band during assembly of the ring into the bore of the housing.
