Deck bushing system for drilling machines
A deck bushing system for a drilling machine having a mast deck including a deck hole is disclosed. The deck bushing system may include a deck bushing sized to be received in the deck hole. The deck bushing may include a tubular member having a generally square shaped flange. Additionally, the deck bushing system may include a deck bushing housing fixedly secured to the mast deck. The deck bushing housing may form a generally V-shape opening toward the deck hole.
DOWNHOLE ROLLER
A downhole roller having a body. The downhole roller also has a wheel connected with the body, and a bearing assembly disposed between the body and the wheel to allow the wheel to move relative to the body. The downhole roller can also have an internal shaft between the wheel and the bearing assembly, wherein the internal shaft holds the bearing assembly in place.
Coated surfaces for bearings used in drilling motors
A bearing providing a plurality of rolling elements and at least one raceway for the rolling elements. The at least one raceway or the rolling elements include a tungsten carbide coating. In some embodiments, the tungsten carbide coating may be a Nano-structured tungsten carbide coating. In some embodiments, the at least one raceway or the rolling elements may comprise a steel substrate covered with the tungsten carbide coating. Embodiments also relate to a method for producing a bearing. The method includes coating a plurality of rolling elements or at least one raceway for the rolling elements with a tungsten carbide coating. In some embodiments, the tungsten carbide coating may be a Nano-structured tungsten carbide coating.
Bearing assemblies, apparatuses, and motor assemblies using the same
Bearing assemblies, apparatuses, and motor assemblies using the same are disclosed. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly may include a plurality of superhard bearing elements distributed circumferentially about an axis. Each of the superhard bearing elements may include a bearing surface. The bearing assembly may also include a support ring structure having a support ring that carries the superhard bearing elements. The support ring structure may include at least one erosion resistant region exhibiting a higher erosion resistance than another region of the support ring.
Slewing roller bearing with at least two rows of roller elements
A slewing bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring provided with a first part and a second part that are axially assembled one to another, at least one axial thrust between the inner ring and the first part of outer ring that can transmit axial forces, and a radial thrust between the inner ring and the second part of outer ring which can transmit radial forces is provided. Roller elements of radial thrust are arranged in an annular groove that extends from a bore of second part of outer ring. At least one mounting orifice axially extends from the annular groove, has dimensions such that at least one roller element can pass through the mounting orifice, and is closed by a plug.
Rotary gearbox
A rotary gear box for a rotary drill rig having a rotary joint that includes a first conduit having a first end portion defining an exit, a second conduit having a second end portion defining an inlet, and a sealing arrangement positioned radially between the first end portion of the first conduit and the second portion of the second conduit. The second conduit is rotatable relative to the first conduit and is arranged coaxial with the first conduit. The first end of the first conduit is received within the second end of the second conduit such that the exit of the first conduit is downstream from the sealing arrangement.
Mud-lubricated bearing assembly with lower seal
A mud-lubricated bearing section including a seal assembly for directing a fluid flowing through a mud-lubricated bearing into a central bore of a mandrel. At least one mud-lubricated bearing is positioned in an annular space between the mandrel and a housing. The seal assembly directs the fluid from the annular space through a mandrel fluid port into the mandrel central bore. The seal assembly seals the annular space, and includes a piston, a plug, and a chamber between the piston and the plug. The piston is configured for axial movement relative to the mandrel and the housing, while the plug is axially fixed relative to the mandrel and/or the housing. The chamber is configured to contain a lubricating fluid. The piston includes inner and outer seals. The plug includes a lower seal and a passage allowing the fluid from the chamber to reach the lower seal for lubrication.
Carbide Wear Surface and Method of Manufacture
A radial bearing having a wear surface with improved wear characteristics comprises a steel support, to which is bonded a metal carbide composite wear surface made by first arranging, within a cavity defined between a steel mold and the steel support, tiles made of microwave sintered, cemented metal carbide, closely packing the voids between the tiles with metal carbide powder, and infiltrating the mold cavity with a metal brazing alloy by subjecting the filled mold to rapid heating. The brazing alloy fills voids between the metal carbide particles, the microwave sintered metal carbide tiles, and the metal support, thereby relatively rapidly consolidating the carbide into a wear layer bonded with the steel support without substantially damaging the properties of the microwave-sintered metal carbide tiles.
TILTING PAD BEARING ASSEMBLIES, AND BEARING APPARATUSES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to tilting pad bearing assemblies, bearing apparatuses including the tilting pad bearing assemblies, and methods of using the bearing apparatuses. The tilting pad bearing assemblies disclosed herein include a plurality of tilting pads. At least some of the superhard tables exhibit a thickness that is at least about 0.120 inch and/or at least two layers having different wear and/or thermal characteristics.
ROLLING BEARING COMPRISING THREE CONCENTRIC RINGS
A rolling bearing including an inner ring, an outer ring and a middle ring, the rings being concentrically arranged around a central axis so that the middle ring is arranged radially between the inner ring and the outer ring, at least one row of rolling elements interposed between the inner ring and the middle ring, at least one row of rolling elements interposed between the middle ring and the outer ring. The inner ring provides a radially inner circumferential portion with a gear toothing and the outer ring having a radially outer circumferential portion with a gear toothing.
