The rolling bearing further includes at least one alignment member circumferentially interposed between each pair of facing ends of the successive ring segments of the split-ring. The alignment member being secured onto a first one of the facing ends and protruding into a recess formed onto a second one of the facing ends to align the pair of facing ends in radial and axial directions.
ROLLING BEARING, NOTABLY LARGE-DIAMETER ROLLING BEARING
A rolling bearing provides an inner ring and an outer ring concentrically about a rotation axis X-X running in an axial direction, and at least first and second axial bearings each axially disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and each having at least one row of rolling elements, the first and second axial bearings being spaced apart from each other in the axial direction. The rolling bearing further provides only one radial bearing radially disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and having at least one row of rolling elements. The radial bearing is disposed between an outer raceway located on the inner ring and an inner raceway located on the outer ring.
Cutting elements, bearings, and earth-boring tools including multiple substrates attached to one another
Bearings for earth-boring tools may include a first bearing member including a first bearing pad having a first contact surface and a second bearing member including a second bearing pad having a second contact surface in sliding contact with at least a portion of the first contact surface. At least one of the first bearing member and the second bearing member may include a polycrystalline table attached to a portion of a first substrate on which the polycrystalline table was formed. Another substrate may be attached to the portion of the first substrate, the portion of the first substrate interposed between the polycrystalline table and the other substrate. The portion of the first substrate may include a first volume percentage of the first matrix material and the other substrate may include a second, different volume percentage of the second matrix material
POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND COMPACTS
Embodiments of the invention relate to polycrystalline diamond (PCD) exhibiting enhanced diamond-to-diamond bonding. In an embodiment, PCD includes a plurality of diamond grains defining a plurality of interstitial regions. A metal-solvent catalyst occupies at least a portion of the plurality of interstitial regions. The plurality of diamond grains and the metal-solvent catalyst collectively exhibit a coercivity of about 115 Oersteds (Oe) or more and a specific magnetic saturation of about 15 Gauss.Math.cm.sup.3/grams (G.Math.cm.sup.3/g) or less. Other embodiments are directed to polycrystalline diamond compacts (PDCs) employing such PCD, methods of forming PCD and PDCs, and various applications for such PCD and PDCs in rotary drill bits, bearing apparatuses, and wire-drawing dies.
Leached superabrasive elements and leaching systems methods and assemblies for processing superabrasive elements
A polycrystalline diamond element includes a polycrystalline diamond table having a body of bonded diamond particles with interstitial regions. A first volume of the body includes an interstitial material and a second volume of the body has a lower concentration of interstitial material within the interstitial regions than the first volume. The polycrystalline diamond element includes an element face and a peripheral surface. The first volume is adjacent to a central portion of the element face and the second volume is adjacent to the peripheral surface. A method of processing a polycrystalline diamond element includes forming a concave region in the polycrystalline diamond element, exposing at least a portion of the concave region to a leaching solution, and removing at least a portion of the polycrystalline diamond material that was exposed to the leaching solution from the polycrystalline diamond element.
On-bottom downhole bearing assembly
A bearing assembly for use in a bottom hole assembly includes a reactive portion and a fluid restrictor portion, the portions being operatively coupled by a mandrel of the bottom hole assembly. The fluid restrictor portion comprises a piston valve component disposed in a stationary valve component, the piston valve component and stationary valve component arranged to generate fluid pressure variations, the fluid pressure variations causing axial movement of the piston valve component. The reactive portion comprises an oscillation assembly mounted between a housing and the mandrel, the oscillation assembly responsive to movement of the mandrel in the housing applying force to the oscillation assembly. The mandrel of the bottom hole assembly is directly mounted to the piston valve component.
Electrical discharge prevention in bearing for submersible pump motor using a conductive spring between a sleeve and a carrier body
A submersible pump electrical motor has a bearing sleeve between first and second rotor sections and mounted to the shaft for rotation in unison. An insert sleeve surrounds the bearing sleeve. A carrier body surrounds the insert sleeve. A carrier anti-rotation ring on an outer diameter of the carrier body engages the bore of the stator. First and second seal rings are axially spaced apart from each other between an outer diameter of the insert sleeve and an inner diameter of the carrier body. A hole in the carrier body has an inner end at the inner diameter of the carrier body. An electrically conductive coil spring within the hole has an inner end protruding through the inner end of the hole into contact with the outer diameter of the insert sleeve, creating electrical continuity between the insert sleeve and the carrier body.
Additively manufactured hinge assembly
A hinge assembly and a method of additively manufacturing the same are provided. The hinge assembly includes a hub defining a body and a first mounting arm and a second mounting arm each projecting from the body. The first mounting arm and the second mounting arm are spaced from one another and define a hinge axis.
