A bearing attachment system for a pump product having a seal carrier and a cover plate. The attachment system is configured to produce a force deflection curve that provides a clamping force on a pair of tapered roller bearings such that a tight bearing endplay on the tapered roller bearings is maintained through a full range of manufacturing tolerances. The geometric shape of the cover plate and the top surface of the seal carrier provide the desired deflection characteristics.

The guide vane bearing includes a bearing support and a layer of bearing material and at least three segments, which are separately connectable to the bottom ring of the hydraulic machine, each segment including one part of the bearing support and one part of the layer of bearing material, and a joint between the segments being obliquely formed with respect to the bearing axis, so that one segment has a wedge shape, and the bearing furthermore including a bearing seal, and the bearing seal being rotatably fixedly connected to the trunnion of the guide vane, and the bearing support including a surface, which is designed as a running surface for the lip of the bearing seal.

Expansion turbine

An expansion turbine configured such that even when pressure of process gas steeply changes, the amount of process gas leaking from a gap between an impeller and a cover is made small. The expansion turbine includes a gas supply passage which is connected to any one of a gas supply passage and a gas discharge passage and through which gas is supplied to a region located between a rotor member and a casing member.

An actuation system for an aircraft piston engine includes a controller and an actuator. The controller selectively supplies motor control signals to a motor. The actuator includes a housing, a motor, a main rod, a control handle, and an inner rod. The main rod receives a drive torque from the motor and translates in either a first axial direction or a second axial direction. The main rod is responsive to an axial drive force to translate in either the first axial direction or the second axial direction. The inner rod is disposed within the main rod and is movable between a first position, in which main rod rotation causes the main rod to translate, and a second position, in which main rod rotation does not cause the main rod to translate, but application of the axial force to the control handle causes the main rod to translate.

Methods and apparatus for providing compliance in bearings of rotating machinery are provided. The rotating machinery may include a drive shaft movably coupled within a bearing housing. Compliant bearing assemblies may interface engagement between the drive shaft and the bearing housing, including polycrystalline diamond bearing elements, each with an engagement surface, and an opposing engagement surface of a metal that contains diamond solvent-catalyst.

A method for controlling deformation of a large-scale crankshaft comprising detecting and recording stress value(s) of part(s) to be regulated by the crankshaft; fixing the crankshaft on a tool to couple transmitting ends of high-energy acoustic beam transducers with the part(s) to be regulated; turning on the high-energy acoustic beam transducers to emit high-energy acoustic beams into the crankshaft, controlling working frequencies of the high-energy acoustic beam transducers within a range of 10-30 kHz, and setting a predicted regulation and control time according to the stress value(s) of the part(s) to be regulated; and closing the high-energy acoustic beam transducers when the predicted regulation and control time is reached, and taking the crankshaft out of the tool.
